Chapter 12

After school I still went to pick up Kahlia as promised I would never want to disappoint my baby. After picking her up I took her to McDonald's because I didn't feel like making a snack. Pulling up to the house Kam car was in the drive way I took a minute to compose myself so I can at least listen to what she has to say. My momma taught me that a long time ago listen before you react because you can end up looking like a fool. Finally getting out I grabbed my bag and Kah and made my way to the door before I could pull out the spare key Kam gave me she pulled the door open. "Hey mama" Kha jumped in her arms "Hey baby you have fun at school" "Yea we got to finger paint and mommy took me to McDonald's" "That's good baby go change your clothes so you can eat" she sat Kah down and watched as she took off "Come in" she held the door open I contemplated on if I wanted to really hear what she had to say I figured I better do it because if I didn't I knew I would avoid doing it later on.

After she closed the door I followed her into the house and to her room closing and locking the door she pointed to the bed "Sit down" I held my hand up declining "I rather stand" she sighed "Alright I know you seen what happened earlier and I would like to explain what happened" I nodded for her to continue "It wasn't what it seemed she was waiting for me she was trying to con me out of money but when she saw you coming she kissed me...I immediately pushed her off and left I apologize" I smiled "I seen you push her as I was driving off but I'm going to need you to put the chick in her place before I have to because I she try me again I will fuck her up no hesitation" was made at what I saw of course but it made me happy to know and see she cared enough to push Bria off. "Good so are you staying" she asked walking closer I smiled and nodded "Yea but only for a little while" she smiled and pulled me to her trying to kiss my but I swerved her "Uhn uhn you better brush your teeth" she laughed "Whatever" she let me go I walked off and went to Kha room to make sure she was ok.

Tiana....

After some thought I decided to take Mere up on her offer and move in with her just to keep me and the baby safe. "Are you ready" she asked holding my hand walking up to the door I smiled becuase she was so nervous this would be her first time meeting the woman I grew to love as my mother and the man she was marrying was becoming my father Brenda and Zeek. Pulling out my key I unlocked the door and pulled he in the house and turned to close it I felt it would be better for all of us to sit and talk. "Mama pops we here" I hollered mama came from the kitchen and Zeek from upstairs "How you feeling fat girl" Zeek asked laughing "I'm good..but mama pops this Amereria but you can call her Mere.....Mere this is my mother Brenda but you can call her Ms. Harris and my pops Zeek but you can call him Mr.Tucker" they all shook hands "Come on let's sit I know yo feet hurt Te...Mere would you like something to drink" my mother asked "Water is fine Ms. Harris" she answered my mom went to get a bottle water and returned minutes later "So Mere how did you and Tiana meet" Zeek asked she looked at me for a second "Through a mutual friend" he nodded "How old are you" my momma asked "23" "You know she pregnant" was the next thing my mom said Mere laughed "Yes ma'am I do" "And you still wanna be with her" Zeek asked crossing his arm "Yes more than anything" he nodded I cleared my throat "Ok stop giving her the third degree" Zeek laughed "Ok so what do you want to talk about" "I'm moving out" I came straight out and said "Where to Tiana" my momma asked "With Mere" "Why" "Because momma I don't feel safe here Mo keeps popping up last time he hit me...think about it he won't know where I am or who I'm with its for my safety and my child safety" Zeek looked at my momma "She has a point Brenda".

After talking with my parents and packing my things me and Mere left and went to Kam house so we could all chill together. I rung the doorbell and waited "You know I have a key right" Mere said walking up and unlocking the door I laughed "Why you knock and you got a key" Kam asked after I pushed the door open "It wasn't me" Mere said following her "Umm hmm only you wold do something like that" I laughed and took off to where I heard the music. Lola and Kah was in the room polishing their toes "Hey auntie Tiana" Kah said I waved and sat on the princess chair in her room "So how did it go" I asked Lola "Just like we thought Bria came on to her" I nodded "Somebody need to kick her you know what" she lauged "Oh I will" it got quiet for a while and I knew she was avoiding asking when I was moving out she got use to me being in the house "So when are you moving out" "I already did" she pouted and I laughed "It's ok you act like this will be your last time seeing me" she sighed "I know I'm just go miss our late night girl talks" I smiled "Awww Lola bunny" I hugged her and she laughed "Don't be all mushy.." she pushed me and picked up Kah so we could go eat.

Mere.....

"I can't believe I almost lost Lola today man this girl getting out of hand" Kam expressed I just shook my head he had just got done telling me what happened with Bria "Well at least she saw what happened even if she didn't she was willing to listen" she nodded ad to get he mind off of what happened I decided to tell her what I did "I met Lola mom's today" she hopped up on the counter and looked at me "So how did it go....What was she like....did she cuss you out....was she ok with you dating her daughter" she asked all at once I smiled "It went ok no she didn't cuss me out but she gave me the third degree and as for everything else you go have to wait til you meet her" she flicked me off and I laughed she suppose to be meeting her next week before we go to Miami for my birthday. Moments later the girls emerged in the kitchen talking and giggling "What up in law" I asked Lola bout to hug her but she swerved me "Nope in law we not cool you stealing my sister" I laughed "Girl bye acting like you ain't go see her no more" she laughed and said whatever. I grabbed Kah and started tickling her "Oh so you can't speak to you auntie" she laughed squirming around "Ok ok it was mommy idea" I stopped and looked at her.

"Mommy" I questioned Kam she nodded "She been calling Lola mommy since this morning" she explained "You ok with that" she nodded again "Yea why not she do treat her like she hers so I'm not worried" I nodded and left it alone this would be the first chick Kam was with that Kah called mommy. I guess it just throws me because they only been together about 4 months Kah never warmed up to somebody so quick not even me. "So what's for dinner Lola" I aked kicking my feet up Kam knocked me in the back of my head Lola laughed "I'm not cooking dinner anyways Kam is" I sat up "What you cooking Kam" despite what people think she can actually cook her gumbo is the best "My famous gumbo and cornbread" "Ayeeeee" I got up and did the Shmoney happy I'm bout to get some gumbo "Girl if you dont sit you crazy butt down" Kam said I smiled and said "You mad case you can't do it" she laughed "Sit yo goofy ahh down" I couldn't help but stop and laugh at the way he said ass cause Kah was in the room.

Kam...

I swear this girl need Ritalin or something she so crazy. After I made the gumbo we sat in front of the tv watching love and hip hop the reunion and this junk was crazy I was glad my baby was sleeping. "Man the way Josline attack althea tho" me and Lola were just now climbing into bed everybody had left and she decided she was going to stay "Yea that was crazy.... I really thought she had the marriage certificate" Lola laughed "Right had me believing she was go pull it out then they go make up a wedding story couldn't even get they outfits right" "True and benzino so hostile now this nigga trynna fight producers" "Oh no neck having butt" we both laughed. "You ready for this trip next week" I asked pulling her to me she nodded "Yea I am I just go shopping for some things" "Cool I'll come with you my treat" she sighed I know she bout to protest "No Kam I can buy my own things you can come but I'm paying for my own stuff" I laughed and nodded I'll just pick up some stuff when she not looking kissing her lips looking in her eyes I smiled "I love you Lola and I promise what happened today will never happen again I don't care if I have to hit her I will I never want you to feel disrespected or like your competing because your not" pecking my lips she gave me the most serious face and said "I love you too Alicia and it bet not because if it does I kicking both yall ass...good night baby" she patted my shoulder and turned over. I dosed off thinking maybe I should sleep with one eye open.
