1x01 — We Only See Each Other at Weddings and Funerals

PART II

[ Seventeen Years Ago ]

"This is Jim Hellerman, reporting live for Channel 2 News outside of the Capital West bank at Main and Sixth. A group of heavily armed men stormed the bank not three hours ago and took an unknown number of hostages."

The armed robber pressed the phone to his ear as he ordered his men to round the hostages up. "Hey, get them behind the counter!" He barked. "Now you've put me in a position where I gotta do something I don't want to do." He hissed through the phone.

A thirteen-year-old Allison sauntered her way up to the man and waited for him to notice her presence. "Hey, get back with the others." The man instructed.

"I heard a rumor." She said, leaning towards him in a hush tone.

"What? What did you say?" He questioned, inching closer to her. "I heard a rumor that you shot your friend in the foot." She repeated with a mischievous grin.

The color of his eyes altered into a vibrant blue as he fell under her spell. He turned around and flicked the safety off from his gun. He raised his hand, aiming at one of his men's foot.

His friend tensed up once he saw what he was doing. "Hey, dude. What the hell?" He said.

The man remained in trance and pulled the trigger. The bullet surged through his friend's foot and another through his arm, which caused him to take a fall and accidentally open fire as he dropped to the floor.

"We just heard shots from inside the bank. It's uncertain if any hostages have been harmed in that."

On the roof was Luther, who began running towards the glass ceiling.

"There's some movement on the roof. Possibly law enforcement."

The young blond crashed from the ceiling and successfully landed on the ground unharmed. He grabbed a hold of one of the robbers and cast him out of the building.

"Looks like one of the armed robbers has been thrown from the bank."

Diego began charging at one of the men with his knives in his hand. "Guns are for sissies. Real men throw knives." He exclaimed, flicking them out of his grasp. They went soaring towards the bald man next to Allison and swerved to the left, killing the other guy instead.
