PART I

What Allison and Jewel discovered last night in the surveillance room left some unanswered questions. For example, how could the one thing they had to a motherly figure kill their adoptive father?

Grace was programmed by Reginald Hargreeves to nurture the children he simply bought from their mothers. She was also created to act as a protector. If she saw that one of them was severely wounded, she would automatically tend to them.

So why did she just stand there, watching the old man crumble to his death?

Jewel walked up to Five's bedroom door and knocked on it. "Five?" She called out.

After last night, Allison told Jewel that she would show Luther the footage and see what he thought of it. Jewel appreciated Allison for doing that because all she wanted to do was distract herself from thinking more about Mom being a potential homicide suspect. That was why she ended up checking to see if Five was in his room.

There was no answer, but she could hear the sound of wincing. "I'm coming in." She informed, opening the door.

Jewel swung the door open, revealing the shirtless boy. Her eyes traveled towards his bicep, which had a large gash stretched across it.

"Oh, my God." She exclaimed, rushing to his aid.

Five had the First Aid kit lying on his bed and Jewel decided to help clean him up. "Five, what happened?" She questioned, ripping the miniature package of alcohol wipes open. "I had to get Delores." Five muttered as she began gently wiping the blood stain on his arm.

She was confused to who this "Delores" was until she saw him looking at something. His eyes were trained on the mannequin doll in a polka-dot patterned blouse. "Oh..." She said, puzzling the pieces together.

Jewel went on to insert the thread through the needle and tied it all in one go. Stitching an open wound wasn't her first rodeo, so she would say that she's very experienced with these kinds of situations. She poked the tip of the needle into his flesh and started suturing the wound up.

"How long have you known Delores?" She wondered. "For over thirty years." He hissed at the needle prodding his wounded arm.

Jewel was very surprised at their long-lasting relationship. She never thought she would be jealous of her man-child of a brother and a mannequin.

"That's quite a long time. Can you tell me your secrets?" She asked jokingly. She wanted to lighten up the mood. Because as far as she's seen, all Five's ever been was a grumpy, old man.

Which he technically was.

She felt a sense of accomplishment when she heard Five laugh lightly at her joke. "Truth is...a lasting relationship is all about respect, communication, honesty, and devotion." He answered. "You have to respect each other as well as their morals and the choices they make. You can't be in a relationship if you don't talk and be honest with each other. Delores and I? We tell each other everything. That's how compatible we are. And you have to devote yourself to that special someone. It's like your number one priority is to make them feel happy."
