Scars Or Tattoo's?

Chapter 14

A couple of months had passed. Alana had a few nightmares about her anger and stabbing her husband, knowing he was now dead to her when she was always awaken by Chibs who continued to soothed them away for her. They were becoming far and few between now.

She had cooked many lunches and visited the club house often. Had been put under protection from the club from time to time, usually with a prospect, sometimes others. She was getting to know them and beginning to love them as friends and family now. She and Gemma had many long talks and she was becoming great friends with Tara.

This morning when she woke up and had Chibs coffee ready and had taken Charlie to the beach Chibs joined her there.

"You will be late for work coming out here, I would have been right back." She said to him as he caught up to her.

"I took the day off, I have a surprise for you today" Smiling at her like he was damn proud peacock.

"Surprise"? "Day off". "It must be big if you took the day off" "What is it"?

"My lass, I will not spoil your surprise right here and now". "You must get your shower and dressed then I shall take you to show you"

"Charlie, times up, we've got to go girl, it's a surprise" Laughing and running with Charlie as Chibs followed his girls, feeling so happy to see her run with joy and laughter in her soul.

Out of the shower, dressed and waiting for Chibs who took his time getting ready, Alana was getting anxious, it had been forever getting a surprise and she was loving life right now. What could he have in mind?

Chibs comes out, "We will take your jeep, Charlie needs to approve of the surprise as well"

"Really"! "It's for us girl" "Come on Filip, your slower than a woman"! And out to the jeep they go. Chibs shaking his head at her anxiousness and fun. But just wait he thought, it gets better my lady.

They are driving down the road where the beautiful lake area was, they came to it, Chibs kept driving up a hill from it. She was so curious now, she loved this area and he didn't stop. He then drives up a long lane to a house, stops and gets out. He walks around and opens her and Charlies door and they both exit as she looks at Chibs and Charlie took off running around the house.

"Filip, what is this place, why are we here"?

"Come, my lass, follow me" and took her hand. He took her in the front door, he had a key. She only watches him and looks around, the house was empty. He took her through it to the back deck and out on it. Charlie was still running around out there. The house was so big she noticed. When they stopped on the upper level deck and looked out she could see below was the area where he had taken her on her first ride. The house was lost in the trees from there but from the house she could see it all below. She lost her breath looking at it, the beauty and wonder of it. He then lifted her up bridal style and back in, thru the kitchen, down a hallway, into a bedroom and another deck, he sat her down there and she could still see the beauty of the lake below and all the floral and greenery, she could hear the birds and see the little animals all playing around out there, she was still breathless.

She turned and looked up at Chibs, "Filip. What is all of this, why are we here"

He got down on one knee, reached in his kutte pocket and pulled out the tiniest of box she had seen, "Your new home as a wedding gift if you will marry me" and opened the box. The most beautiful emerald ring she had ever seen glowed. And tears fell! Chibs knew that was a yes. He took her hand and put the ring on her finger, she looked up at him after staring at the ring, "Oh God, yes a million times" and jumped into his arms.

He felt more joy at that moment than he had his entire life!

They walked back to the other deck and reality hit her. "Filip, no one knows my husband is dead, how can I marry you when I'm not divorced and neither are you"?

"Oh yeah, other surprises" he takes two envelopes out of his other pocket. "I've been a little busy you might say" and hands them to her.

She opens one, it's his divorce papers signed sealed and delivered, Fiona divorced him. God almighty she smiled at him. But she wasn't divorced. She opened the other envelope after looking at him, he smiling at her. Her divorce papers that read divorce by abandonment, and legal too.

"Filip! How did you do this"?

"I know a few FBI people who love you as much as I do and know how to get shit done" smiling at her.

"You and Spencer did this"? "Oh my God and kept it a secret"?

"We did with Penelope's help, she is one strange lady, like her too, she loves you" "Oh and they will be at our wedding as well, I was pretty sure you'd say 'yes'". He glowed with happiness watching her learn of her new life. And he knew she would love this house, big for her and Charlie, room for Charlie to run, the view he knew she'd love, she could be alone, write and not far from town or him or his brothers. It was perfect for the three of them. And as Chibs knew, it would be a great place to keep her safe with prospects to see around if need be, he'd also have an alarm system set in place for them.
