Day two, three, and four of patrolling camp go by quick. We train hard, becoming tougher and stronger mentally and physically. Interacting with the others seems to get better and better, as well as rivalry with Cinnabun and Fang gets better and better.
Mostly Cinnabun and I, while Fang cowers from the flames that erupt from Cinnabun and myself, as Jett aimlessly blabs on to Fang about who knows what.
Fiona seems to improve quite a lot as well. She will probably join the next training session that will take place after this week, so Jett and I will graduate before her, and become patrol guards before her as well.
Hopefully, Fiona will gain back her regular strength, since normally she is one of the strongest animals I have every met, especially a fox.
Jett and I have numerous times mulled over still the fact that we both are Nine Tailed Foxes. We've done research, trying to successfully obtain information without seeming to suspicious, since after all we are the only ones who really know.
The days have been quite easy going, though after the attack on Fiona, the whole town definitely has change. Though we have nice laid back times, the whole aura, the amount of tension in the mood of the village has just increased to max.
We all are always more cautious than ever, with animals carrying self defensive weapons everywhere, children walking only alongside parents or a different trusted member, etc.
Times definitely change quicker than a thump of heart.
Anyway, here Jett and I go to our sixth patrolling camp session; the last day, before graduation. It seems a bit surreal, and though we only have been here for a week, I feel like I have loads of skill and knowledge to possess, thanks to this place.
Everyone has gotten quite comfortable with each other; we all just feel happy coming here. "Okay, start with warm ups like always!" Skylar says, and we do just that.
Speed, in durance, and skill; that is what is focused on.
The in durance exercises begin after we finish warm ups; a 3 mile run in the woods. You can pair up with others, and naturally Jett and I do so. We talk at first, but soon are focusing more on running, as we sweat and huff crazily. The run becomes painful, but I can feel my energy last.
Next is speed. After a 10 minute break, we do long sprints for a while, around the 2 mile track. This seems worse, since at least before we'd go at a constant pace.
"Move those legs! Come on, I see the end! Fang, don't slack! Keep running guys, you can do it!" Skylar encourages, and we all continue on, though some fall. I feel like I could get nudged and fall down any second, and Jett and I try supporting each other.
Finally skill. After a twenty minute "break", with just jogging lightly for a bit, we work on skill. This consists of exercises that have detailed, small things that you do to focus on your footing. We jump between tires, play the "Smack the Pop up Head" game, etc. This session is my favorite, since I am best at it.
I have quick reflexes, more than anyone else here, and quickly adjust to what's happening. Jett is better at in durance; he usually has to end up encouraging me to go on, since I'll just trip and fall.
Both of us are even in speed, not really the best of the worst. Anyway, we finish up the activities and are soon returning home. These days seem to be the same, so Jett perks up.
"HEY! Wanna go into town instead of home? Cause we always have this same routine, and let's go to town since we haven't been there for a while... I shrug, and follow him.
We enter, and the streets bustle with smells of Kairo, songs of street dancers/singers/performers, the rings of voices calling out, and more. This place is awesome, with many shops to visit, and things to look at. Jett and I roam around, laughing and smiling at things we see and oohing and aahing for silly things.
We return, and tell Mom and Dad were we where. Afterwards, we decide to spend time with Fiona. Telling stories, playing silly games, eating part of Jett's secret stash of food, and more great things to just have fun with!
Nighttime soon falls, and Jett and I roll around in our beds.
"Graduation tomorrow" I murmur, and Jett shuffles. "Yeah! We're gonna have a blast!"
I nod. "It's gonna be like a party!" Jett moves with excitement, and I smile. "We can have fun with the others, play games, and more great things."
Jett whispers. "And don't forget, we will be patrol guards as well" I breath. "Yeah, protecting, going out to venture the land for enemies, etc. This will be great."
"And we get to do it with each other. " Jett says, and I smile at his sweet comment.
"We should get rest for tomorrow. Night!" I whisper, and he repeats my words. Feeling great, I get cozy in bed, and let the sleep take over me with pleasure.
