The plot will begin to pick up the pace now, and most of the portion of the story that was a bit uneventful is basically past us. The real fun will begin.
Some History/Stuff:
Wyanet has some main places:
-EverFern Forest
-Terra Valley
-Bamboo Marsh
-East Side Lake (They didn't have compasses back than)
-CrownCord RideWay (Main Center Capital Place)
These are the 5 main zones, and are home to many places. Some other places whether being a small town, or road are labeled upon the map as well (As mentioned, more may be added)
CrownCord RideWay is said to be home to the King/Queen Ruler Animal, that looks upon all animals, and lives in a luxurious palace. CrownCord RideWay is the typical wealthy, flourished capital and might be the most urbanized place in Wyanet.
Cultures/ Ways in Wyanet:
First, the animals age the same way humans do. No dog, cat years or whatever. A twelve year old kid is the same as a twelve year old animal here.
As mentioned in Fiona's fake funeral story, traditionally, when animals die, instead of getting buried they are wrapped in silk and than placed on logs that are designed and set in a specific way. Then, a close or some close relatives/friends of the dead one, burn the animal's body with a torch, and than scatter their ashes on the land around.
And which was also mentioned, animals do live as herbivores, carnivores, omnivores and all, and can eat each other, because they need to, to survive. It is how they were created, yet they limit if very much. And of course, they can be friends with each other, though usually when you need to eat someone, you'll go out and hunt far off and not eat animals you know or have seen.
Ex: Mel's parents will usually go to somewhere like the Coral Meadows (see above map) and hunt there, where other animal's villages may be and neither know each other. They probably don't know most animals there, since the Coral Meadows are around 20 minute run away from EverFern forest. It's just how life works in Wyanet.
Most families limit it to hunting once or twice in two weeks, and usually eat other normal food.
There are also some festivals and celebrations that occur, like the Lunar Lake Festival, etc.
