after that short and awkward introduction in their art class, taehyung and jungkook have grown closer and closer, now able to swing arms over shoulders and laugh at absolutely nothing.
of course, feelings are still in the air and the both of them know that but they both push it aside, wanting to get to know the other before actually calling out the elephant in the room.
for example, taehyung has learned that jungkook puts milk first, traitor. he is one year younger than taehyung but managed to skip ahead one year due to his talent in art even though he's a year behind in the rest of his subjects. jungkook's favourite colour is red, his favourite song is a troye sivan called 'youth' or something, god knows what that boy listens to. taehyung also found out that jungkook was bisexual and was nearly pouncing on the walls when he found out.
jungkook also found out that taehyung is gay, his favourite colour is purple, he has a dog back in daegu, his hometown, called yeontan who is a fluffy pomeranian. taehyung's favourite thing to do is get fat off of fatty foods like pizza, haribos, gummies, anything fat, while watching anime like yuri on ice, black butler, death note, even ouran. he isn't exactly picky about anime, jungkook can easily tell since he goes from an anime about writing someones names in a book to kill them, straight to an anime where the theme song is 'kiss, kiss, fall in love' and roses are everywhere.
the boys have both grown close ever since they went to jungkook's dorm to watch cartoons and talk about each other and share stupid things while also getting deep.
they've become friends.
best friends.
they both hated those words but were too scared to ruin whatever they had going.
sure, taehyung draws pictures of jungkook and only jungkook, giving off a giant hint that taehyung likes him but jungkook does doubt himself often.
and taehyung doesn't know about the younger accidentally picking his bag up and going through those illustrations so taehyung feels like his love is one-sided. he's also had to buy a new bag and folder since he hasn't found his yet.
if only life was easier, seriously.
