I'm not sure what woke me up, but all the sudden I was wide awake. I looked over to Shane's sleeping bag and found that he was not inside but laying on his stomach on top of it with a flashlight and a book. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "Storm woke you too?" Shane asked as he continued to read his book. "I didn't even notice it was storming until you said that" I said laughing. "Whatcha reading?" I asked curiously. "Oh this old thing" he placed his bookmark inside and closed the book. "The Outsiders. I've read it so many times I could probably recite it." He said putting it over by the corner. "How long have you been up?" I asked. "Mind if I come closer so we can talk?" I shook my head as Shane drug his sleeping bag closer to mine. "Not long before you got up. Maybe like 20 minutes or so." He said as he got comfortable.

"Why is it so cold?" I asked as I tried to make myself warm. Shane took his arm out of his sleeping bag and pressed the back of his hand against my neck. It was so warm. "Holy shit girl, you're like an ice cube. Here, get out of your sleeping bag for a second. I have an idea." He said as he got himself out of his own sleeping bag. I got out of mine and let him do his thing. He unzipped both bags all the way and then put them together and zipped them up, making one big sleeping bag. Then Shane got in and opened his arms. "You can use my body heat to heat yourself. It's not good for you to be that cold." He said. "I won't try anything. Just worried about ya is all." Without a second thought I jumped in the sleeping bag and cuddled up next to Shane.

He was so warm and his body felt amazing against mine. I wanted to rip his clothes off but I'm sure that's borderline creepy. "T-th-thank yo-you" I said as he wrapped his strong arms around me. I reached my head up and kissed him and immediately pulled away out of embarrassment. Did I really just do that?? "Shit, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean t-" Shane put a finger up to my lips, gesturing for me to be quiet. He pulled my face up to look at him. "It's alright girl. No harm done." He started to pulled my face closer to his. "No harm done" he repeated and he pressed his lips to mine.
