The kid was looking at me like I was the most unimpressive thing they've ever seen.
"well, good job. even after i murdered so many monsters! i completely underestimated your power. you murderer, you.", I said, "but you know what's the best part? i'll remember this when you reset. heh. maybe i'll even get to kill undyne next time. see you around."
However, when I said this, they smiled even more.
"You know, I've heard you say that 286 times, and you never did kill Undyne. I'm bored of you Sansy~. So..."

I couldn't believe these words. They would actually stop? No, that's not possible. Even if they did quit, they would always come back. Just like the last 327 times. Just like always. Right?

My eye sockets widened. No... That's how many times I killed him? Him and everyone else. Suddenly, everything came back to me. All the times Undyne has said I was a disgrace to monsterkind, all the times Toriel, Papyrus, Alphys, everyone. Begged for mercy. But I never listened. Not even to my bro... I killed them all... I was too caught up in stopping the kid, that I never bothered to listen to their pleads of mercy.

The echoing sound of the knife slicing through my chest for the 613th time. But this time was different. This time, I wouldn't have to see that face again. This time, I wouldn't have to kill. I can finally rest in peace.
