"Cairo and his boys are on their way right now.." Derek said in a serious tone that scared the life out of me. With that, I dashed down the staircase that led to the basement. Riley was playing the piano and Maleeah was quietly strumming the strings of her bass guitar.
"Cairo's coming!" I yelled as I closed and locked the door behind me and began to turn of the lights and lock the windows. They both stopped what they were doing to help me. We then rushed into the room where we record our vocals then hid under a long desk that set off in a corner. I pulled my knees up to my chest and began shaking.
"Raven, it's gonna be okay, we're here with you and for you." Maleeah said. I took out my phone and began to call Darious when there was a banging at the window which made me jump and drop the phone out my hand. I hurried up and dialed his number and then put the phone to my ear.
"Yes, wifey?" Darious said as the banging continued.
"Hurry up and come home! Cairo is here with some other guys." I said as tears wildly streamed down my face.
"Oh my God. Baby, stop crying okay? Be quiet and be Brave. Im on my way right now. Are you guys okay?" He asked me in a rushed tone.
"Yeah, Marty and Derek peeped him somewhere then came here for us." I said as I tried to calm myself down. I felt like I was having an asthma attack.
"Okay baby, we coming right now." He said as I heard the sound of screeching tires then he hung up. About a minute later I heard the glass break. The three of us huddled together when the light outside of the room came on. I heard footsteps and I put my hands over my mouth to keep from crying too loudly. Soon after, I heard Cairo's voice and two other guys that sounded familiar, I just couldn't pin my mind on who it was.
"Raven, I know you're here. I came to take you home." Cairo yelled. Tears rapidly fell down my face. There were more footsteps then there was a pause. Suddenly the door to the room flung open wildly. My heart began beating faster than ever. There was a brief moment of silence then I felt myself being yanked by my hair. I let out a scream and I started trying to kick away. Riley and Maleeah jumped out from under the table to try and helped me but they both failed harshly. Riley got thrown against the wall and Maleeah got knocked out. Tears flew down my face as I looked into Cairo's eyes. The same eyes that I once longed for. This man was my first love and he broke my heart with all the cheating, lies and beatings.
"Hey baby girl." He said to me in a harsh tone. Those words angered me.
"Im not your baby." I said as I slapped him across his face as hard as I could. His head jerked to the side and he grabbed his cheek as he slowly looked up at me.
"So you finally learned how to hit back?" He said with a smirk. He then punched me in my face. I ignored the pain and lunged at him, making him fall to the ground. I started throwing forceful punches at him. He seemed like he was getting hurt but I couldn't really tell. I wanted to kill him right then and there. He then pushed me up off of him and stood up. I tried to run away but he grabbed me back but my shirt. He then picked me up and laid me across a table. I tried to squirm away but he put a hand on my shoulder. He then started to unbuckle his pants.
"CAIRO NO! PLEASE! STOP!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. He was really trying to rape me. I was kicking, screaming, scratching, all that and nothing was working. I thought it was over until I heard the door get kicked open.
"IF YOU DON'T GET THE F*** OFF OF HER, IMMA KILL YOU!" I heard Darious yell. He then ran and punched him square in his face. Marty, Terrance, and Derek came rushing after him. Marty helped me off the table and I collasped into his arms with tears running down my face. The next thing I know, I blacked out.
