"To close for comfort, to close for tensions, to close for no self-control. Having an urge to pull you close to me is something I thought I would never dream of. But now it's something I want for real. Your sent is what I crave the most. You're making me feel like I'm going crazy."

It was dark, but I eventually found a motel with a laundromat down the street. Now I can finally have clean clothes and a shower. And that's what I was doing. Taking a long nice hot shower. It was very relaxing and I hate my hair having that gross greasy feeling. Feeling the hot water go down my back and chest was like a blanket over my skin. The smell of mint shampoo filled the air.
I got out of the shower and dried myself off with a white towel. I walk up to the mirror and wipe off the steam to try an see my reflection. A tired look was placed on my face. I should get some sleep. I run my fingers through my wet hair before exiting the bathroom. I see Benji looking at some polaroid pictures. He seemed to be in thought. He looks up at me then his face turns a crimson red.
"Will, did you just finish taking a shower?" He asked me with his voice cracking a little.
"Yes, and you should take one too." I walked over to my bed and sat down then dug through my bag for my clothes. I felt Benji's eyes on me still. "Take a picture it'll last longer," I said in a monotone voice. Then I hear a snap of a camera. I quickly turn my head. "Hey! I didn't mean literally!" The polaroid picture came out from the bottom slowly developing.
"Sorry, you just looked so pretty." He smiled. Pretty?
"Did you just call me pretty?" He nods to my question. I let out a sigh, "Whatever, I'm going to wash my clothes. So if you want yours washed to you better have them out by the door." I told him while putting on my clothes.
"Alright, I'm going." He chuckles and heads to the bathroom. A few minutes later he tossed his clothes through the door, then I grab his clothes off the floor. The warmth off his clothes was nice, but his sent was like a desired sweet treat. I didn't think he smelled this good.
Pressing the piece of clothing to my nose just made me want to crave it more. Wait, why am I acting this way? It's very creepy. I need to stop.
I toss his clothes into a bag along with mine, then head straight to the laundromat. Once walking in it smelled like an old lady's house who bakes no sugar added cookies. I toss the clothes in the washer, along with the soap. I pull my wallet out to grab quarters, but I didn't have any. Just my luck. I walk up to the counter to see a girl, about 17 years old, sitting on a tote reading a book. I clear my throat, "excuse me miss." She jumps from me talking. "Um, sorry about that."
She waves her hand like it's no big deal. She then places the now bookmarked story on top of the tote and walks up to the counter. Her yellow sweater was being tugged by her hand making it stretch more, while her other hand pushed up her round silver-rimmed glasses from falling off her face. "Can I help you," she said in a hushed tone.
"Yeah, I need an exchange for quarters please." I place three dollars on the counter. She nods and exchanges the dollar bills for change. She heads to the back to a small counter to grab a small butter tub then counts out the quarters to place in the small container. As she walks back she trips on an extension cord sending the coins flying across the room. She groans from the pain.
"Hey, are you okay?" I make my way quickly around the counter to help her. Her head had a small cut on it, but nothing too bad. I slipped my arms under her arms to help lift her up off the floor. "Miss? You alright?" She was facing down at the floor, not bothering to look at me. I brush her chestnut brown bangs out of her face, to see that she was trying to hide her tears that were leaving her green eyes. I pull my sleeve up to wipe her face. "Why are you crying? There's no need to shed tears." She looks up at me but then gives me a sudden hug.
