"Friendships can last forever, but only if you stay true and loyal to the very end. You may even find love where you least expect it. And it'll just drive you crazy."

"Yeah, sorry for not getting back to you sooner."
"No, no, it's okay. I'm glad you're finally getting out of the house."
"Is that a good thing, or bad thing?" I was currently talking to my manager, Kelly on the phone. The word manager and boss may seem scary, but he's the total opposite of that.
"A good thing obviously! William, you are a wonderful employee and I don't doubt you for a second. But you do need to get out of the house more." I heard him chuckle over the phone.
"Yeah, yeah I get it, I'm a turtle. Is Addison doing okay?"
"She's doing great! Matthias is a big help when it comes to picking up the dishes. You know how she is. Too much for a tiny girl."
"Yeah, I don't know why she thinks she can handle such big jobs. She's so small." Kelly starts to laugh on the other side.
"Other than work, how's your trip? And where exactly are you going?"
"Oh, for your first question, it's going fine. Nothing great, but it's delightful in some places." Benji smiles warmly from the back seat. "For your second question, I have no idea."
"What? So, you're just going for a drive to random places kind of thing?"
"No, someone let me tag along with them for the short trip. They want to keep the destination a secret so it can be a surprise."
"I see. Well, I hope you're doing okay and staying safe. I don't wanna lose one of my perfectly good employees."
I smile. "Having a punch to the face won't get rid of me that easily."
"You were punched?! Are you okay?!" I had to hold the phone away from my ear from how loud he was.
"I'm perfectly fine, just a few bruises. I'll tell you more about it when I get back."
"You better- oh?... Yeah!... Okay! Addi said hello."
I chuckle. "Tell her I said hi too."
"William said hi!" He chuckles. "Alright I got to go, but it was great talking to you again. Come back safe, bye."
"Yeah, I will, bye." I hung up and turned off my phone, which was on twenty-six percent from not charging in the last couple of days.
"Who was that?" Benji asked from the back. We're currently parked on a street downtown of someplace. I should probably keep track of where we've been.
"That was my boss, Kelly. He's a pretty great guy. You should meet him sometime, you two would get along great."
"Sweet, I'll try too. Also, who was Addison? Your girlfriend?" He teased.
My face burns red. "No! She's not my girlfriend, she's just a co-worker. Plus she's too young."
"How young?" He opened the chip bag from the Japanese store. The label read Honey Butter Chips.
