*flashback*
you were in a crowd of maybe a couple hundred or thousand inklings and octolings, listening to off the hooks new song.you were friends with the duo, and they got you tickets to there concert, and so here you were, close to the stage. soon the song comes to an end and pearl, the shorter inkling with white tentacles and pink tips walks to the edge of the stage and starts to speak.
pearl:hey, yo! that was our newest song, hope you enjoyed it yo!
marina, the taller,dark skined octoling with black tentacles and teal tips walks next to pearl and speaks next.
marina: we worked really hard on it for all of you, so i hop-
she was cut off by a familiar giant gold, mechanical fist smashing into the stage behind her and pearl, which caused the two to jump in surprise and quickly turn around in shock.next a loud, octarian voice spoke through the stages speakers.
???:DJ Octavio in da house!!
your eyes widen at this,and you swiftly pull out your heroshot replica and start heading towards the stage, while others are doing the opposite and moving away. they weren't leaving, they were just moving back from the stage a bit
you got on the stage just in time to push the idol duo away from a spinning punch, but got hurt in the process.
Y/N:Octavio!
if octavio had a mouth,he would be smirking right now, because even though you didn't know it, his plan was already working
Octavio:Ah, Y/N, my prized minion and spy in inkopolis, what brings me the plesure of seeing you here?
you hear gasps and angered shouting behind you, as your eyes widen once more. what the shell was he talking about?
Y/N:what the heck are you talking about?
Octavio:you don't need to act anymore, its already out in the open. you've been under my command for years
Y/N:I'm not acting.
you turn to the crowd
Y/N:you guys believe me right?
you see many faces in the crowd, ranging from shock to anger, and disbelief.your can't believe it. they don't believe you.
you turn to see pearls and marina.pearl looks skeptical and marina looks angry.you see she opens her mouth to shout at octavio, presumably to defend you, but she see's your face telling her she should'nt. you know if she says something he'll tell everyone about her past in the octarian army,so you don't want her to say anything.
Octavio:well gotta go, army's to build, zapfish to steal.
he fly's away before you can say another word, and leaves you standing infront of the enraged crowed.
*flashback end*
marina believed you, as she was in the octarian army and never once heard of an inkling working for them, and she told pearl of this so pearl was on your side to,aswell as agent 1 and 8.agents 2 and 3 did'nt belive you, and even kicked you out of the splatoon. the capitan was on the fence about, but didn't want to risk it.most of the inkopolis population didn't believe you, but some inklings and octolings did.
and so you continue walking to the corner of the square, walking under the moonlight to reach your destination. and when you looked up you saw it...
