*Christa's POV*

"Oh Christa..." I heard someone say as I was being shaken awake.

I woke up to see Ymir standing over me.

"Wha?! What's wrong?!" I asked.

"Nothing's wrong silly." She said calmly.

"Then what did you wake me up for? Are we late for formation?" I asked as I sat up and rubbed eyes.

"No." She said as she held up a box with a thornless yellow rose tied to it.

"It's from your boyfriend. He must have figured out that today was January 15th. He actually got you a birthday gift." She said with a tearful smile.

"That's right...it is my birthday..." I said as I took the box, removed the rose, and smelled it.

"This smells amazing...I wonder what's in the box?" I said.

"Here's a note. It says, I wish you a wonderful birthday with much love and happiness. The gold reminds me of your radiant hair, and the sapphire reminds me of your gorgeous eyes. Love, Bertie" She said.

"Gold and sapphire...?" I wondered out loud.

I opened the box and pulled out a golden necklace adorned with sapphire rubies.

"My gosh...this is beautiful...help me put it on Ymir! I want to surprise Bertie and wear it to formation today." I said with excitement.

Ymir teared up as she helped me out on the necklace.

"Oh my god Christa...he...he's amazing....." She said through her tears.

"I know...it makes me wonder why he picked me." I said in pure amazement.

"I wish I had a man like yours." Ymir said as her smile faded.

Her disposition wasn't exactly a friendly one, but I knew someday someone would see through her tough-girl facade.

"Don't worry Ymir. You'll find someone. Who knows? You might meet him in formation today." I said with a hopeful smile.

"Oh shit, we're going to be late!" Ymir exclaimed.

"Oh crap! Do we need our ODMG?!" I said as I threw my uniform on.

"No, it's just morning mustar." She said as she threw open the door and ran into someone.

"Oh my.....allow me to say how very sorry I am." I heard her say.

"It's fine.....please get off of me..." I heard the person say back.

"Ymir come on! We've gotta...Oh hi Eren." I said as I turned around and saw who Ymir was talking to.

"Please Christa...get your friend off of me....she's starting to...Actually I'm fine right here." He said as he looked at her and blushed.

"Sorry about that." Ymir said as she stood up and smiled.

"I...It's fine really...do you...want to walk to formation with me?" Eren asked with an embarrassed smile.

"I'd love to." Ymir said as I saw her...blushing?

"Great! Christa,you don't mind do you?" Eren asked as he turned to me.

"Not at all,Bertie wanted me to walk with him today anyway." I said with a smile.

"Bertie?" Eren asked.

Oh crap! I was supposed to keep this a surprise!

"Oh...ummm...nothing! Gotta run!" I said as I ran out the door.
