Caroline listened to everything Rebekah told her over the phone, Caroline couldn't believe what she was hearing, "oh my god, why would he turn his damn humanity off," Caroline said shaking her head.

Rebekah sat on the couch and spoke,"we don't know for sure but we think it was probably because of Hayley cheating on him and after Elena left he just couldn't stand the emotions anymore, "Caroline understood his pain and spoke,"ugh I always hated that werewolf bitch,"

Rebekah almost chocked because of laughter and replied, "Yeh me too but over the time, we began to become sisterly and I never expected her to do my brother this dirty." Rebekah said gritting her teeth just about the thought of it.

Caroline nodded sympathetically and replied,"yes me too but I always knew she was something else and here I thought that she changed and actually loved him," Caroline spoke rolling her eyes and puffing, "anyways how are we going to bring him back," Caroline said expecting a proper plan.

Rebekah didn't know what to tell her because she didn't know herself and then spoke, "we don't know yet but we are working on it," Rebekah said sounding completely hopeless.

Caroline sighed and began, "I don't know how to tell Elena, she is going to be in a big shock," Rebekah now saw Marcel and Davina waking up and spoke,"look Marcel and Davina are helping me and right now we aren't in a good position," Rebekah went on, "but we could use as much help as we can get."

Caroline thought for a few minutes and then spoke, "I'll tell Elena and we'll get to new Orleans as soon as possible," Rebekah smiled happily and replied, "okay but just be careful that no one informs Elijah,"

Caroline smiled and spoke, "don't worry well watch out and hopefully we won't poke the angry bear," Caroline said giggling, "anyways I'm going to Elena's now and I'll call you as soon as we reach new Orleans," Caroline said getting in her car.

"Okay thank you so much but I got to go now," Rebekah said and hung up whilst going over to Marcel to inform him.

Caroline now sighed whilst driving and thought about how she should tell Elena the terrifying news.

A few hours later

Caroline finally made it to Elena's apartment and quietly crept in.
When she got in, she heard Elena having a shower, "Elena," Caroline called out but she didn't get any response so she tried shouting her name out louder, "Elena!," with this Elena jumped a little and quickly turned of the tap, she got a towel and wrapped it around herself to face whoever called out her name.

When she got to her living room she saw Caroline on the couch, she could tell that something was off because usually Caroline would be all happy and cheery but today she seemed very quiet which meant something probably was wrong.

"Caroline," Elena said to the blonde sitting on the couch, Caroline turned around and looked at her with hesitation in her eyes, "Elena can you get dressed quickly because I have to tell you something and I don't think your going to like it very much," Caroline said laying her head on the couch.

Elena shrugged and then went of to get changed in a flash, she came back and sat on the couch next to Caroline.

Caroline took Elena's hands in hers and spoke, "Elena please don't freak about what I'm about to tell you," Caroline said

but Elena gave her a look of confusion and then nodded, "it's about out Elijah," Caroline said looking at Elena, Elena gulped just hearing his name it made her whole body tremble and shiver.

Elena tried not to panic and nodded for Caroline to continue, Caroline nodded back and replied, "umh he has.. well he turned of his humanity because Hayley cheated on him after you left and so he couldn't take anymore pain and," but before she could finish Elena gasped and spoke, "what, Hayley cheated on him and he turned his humanity off," Caroline nodded sympathetically.

"Oh my god this isn't happening, why didn't anyone tell me this before what he has done," Elena said sounding like she was about to get a heart attack, Caroline calmed her down and then replied back, "I don't know Rebekah told me this in the morning and I couldn't believe it either," Caroline said patting Elena's shoulder.

Elena shook her head still getting
in the information and then after a brief while of walking back and forth she spoke, "has he done something bad," Elena said praying that he hadn't but the look on Caroline's face explained it all.

Caroline went up to Elena and hugged her tightly so she couldn't escape and began, "well he might've daggered Kol and Klaus and attempted to kill Hayley and probably killed Davina but she had a protection spell on herself so she survived and I think he might've also attempted to kill Marcel but thankfully apart from that he hasn't done anything else," Caroline said letting go of Elena.

Elena blinked her eyes a couple of times and then replied back, "oh my god, Elijah would never do that," Caroline sat back on the couch and spoke, "I know but I would probably do the same if I were in his position because he has faced a lot of pain and his like the one that's always supposed to be the good one," Caroline said.

Those words made Elena feel like she had been hit on the face with a million pieces of stone and so she sighed sympathetically and spoke, "no this is all my fault, I hate myself for leaving him I hate myself," Elena said tearing up.

Caroline shook her head and hugged Elena warmly assuring her that it wasn't her fault and that Elijah had a choice, "Elena it's not your fault okay and what do you mean why did you leave him," Caroline asked confused and Curious.

Elena sighed and spoke, "well before I left, me and him kind of kissed," Elena said blushing slightly. Caroline clapped her hands in excitement and spoke, "no way, why didn't you tell me," Elena's smile suddenly turned sad, "it was kind of a goodbye kiss, but he asked me to stay," Elena said thinking back of the memories, Caroline looked at Elena and made her look at her, "don't worry Elena if you and Elijah become something, I'll literally be your biggest supporter," Caroline said giggling. Elena started laughing too.

"Anyways I told Rebekah that me and you will be going to new Orleans tomorrow but if you don't want to go, I don't think they will mind," Caroline said rubbing Elena's hand.

Elena looked at her with confusion and spoke, "what are you talking about of course I'm going," Caroline smiled slightly and spoke, "okay get your stuff ready because we're leaving now," and with that both of them began to pack and sett of for new Orleans.
