Final Dance

Mikaelson Compound:
"Nik," Kol said searching around the compound for his brother, "nik, where the bloody hell are you," Kol said getting irritated by each second he was failing to find Klaus. After about ten minutes of searching he gave up and sat down on one of the couches in the main lounge.

Klaus walked in soon after he heard Kol get silent, he was smiling whilst walking in as if nothing had happened. When Kol saw Klaus, he stood up and immediately sped up to him and gave him a push, "do you know how bloody long I've been searching for you," Kol said annoyed.

Klaus fixed up his clothes and sat down on the couch facing Kol, "I'm pretty sure you know that I don't like to get disturbed whilst I'm painting right?" Klaus said smiling as if he were innocent, Kol rolled his eyes and sat next to his brother.

He shuffled a bit in his place and that is when Klaus suspected that Kol was hiding something, "Kol?" Klaus said nearing him a bit, "I know that look, what have you done this time," Klaus said trying to cover his growl. Kol sighed and spoke, "I haven't done anything nik," Klaus knew Kol was lying but he didn't bother trying to get whatever Kol was hiding out of him.

"Then why were you asking for me exactly?" Klaus said shrugging and gesturing Kol to continue.

Kol let out a deep sigh and spoke, "do you know where Elijah is, it's really important that I speak to him," Klaus narrowed his eyes as he became suspicious, "no-no I don't in fact he did seem a little off yesterday and I'm beginning to think that you had something to do with it," Klaus said curiously whilst Kol gulped, "and I'm sure I would hate to know that you were involved because why else would you need him?" Klaus said raising his eyebrow at Kol,
Kol acted as if it was nothing and spoke, "oh shut up nik,why don't you just go back to painting one of your self portraits will you," Kol said vamp speeding away so he could avoid Klaus's questions.

Klaus growled but before he could make another move, Kol vanished.

He knew that something was up with Kol but he ignored it with a shrug, he didn't think it would be something big so he didn't put much thought to it and went back to his studio to finish off the painting that he had made for Caroline.

Meanwhile in Mysticfalls
Elena's apartment:
Elena looked at Elijah confused, "you're seriously asking me to dance now," Elena said in a rude manner and chuckled along with it. Elijah looked to the floor in frustration and then sighed, "just take it, I'll go after this I promise,"
he said hoping she was convinced, Elena puffed and allowed him to dance with her. He got a hold of her hand almost instantly after her confirmation and after a while of shuffling they both began rocking slowly to the song that was on the radio.

Elijah was staring intensely into Elena's eyes, whilst Elena was trying hard to ignore his gaze which was clearly fixated on her.

In his mind he was wondering why she hated him so much, he could see that in her eyes it played a different story, it was as if she was holding onto something, "Elena," he said whispering in her ear so only she could hear.

She shivered slightly and dared not to look into his eyes, she ignored his warm breathe against her ear and replied, "Yeh."

Without any response he got a hold of her hand which was relaxed on his shoulder and twirled her around, he then pulled her in quickly, making her crash into his chest.

Elena couldn't hold back her smile as she was clearly enjoying the moment, Elijah on the other hand was taken away by how beautiful she looked when she smiled, "have I ever told you how beautiful you look when you smile," he said lost in her hazel brown eyes. She blushed and hid her face on his shoulder, the compulsion that Kol had set upon her was now slowly forgotten, "Elijah," she whispered snuggling her face in his neck.
He responded by slowly dropping his hand down to her waist and held her tight against his body, Elena swallowed thickly as she was getting nervous, her feet wobbled but his grip on her waist held her in place. She moved her hand over to his shoulder and with the other hand she wrapped it around his head.

It felt as if she was about to kiss him but she stopped herself and continued dancing, he saw the hesitation in her eyes and couldn't help but ask "Elena, can you tell me what I have done to earn your hate," he said in an almost regretful tone.

Elena's heart was beating wildly in her chest as she herself had no idea what the answer to his question was, "Elijah I-I don't actually know," she responded loosening her grip on his shoulders. His eyes were now filled with anger and pain as well as confusion, his shoulders tensed up as he began to speak, "so I haven't done anything to prove myself guilty and yet you hate me," he said as if he were a sad little kid, Elena tried to ignore his pain filled puppy eyes and looked to the floor whilst hearing him say, "I guess I'll never find out then," he released his grip and whispered, "Goodbye Elena," and with that said he gave her one last kiss on the forehead and sped away not turning back.

As Elena felt and watched him speed off, all the strength in her feet vanished and she was finding it hard to stand properly, she fought hard to stop her tears that were slowly forming in her eyes. Kol's compulsion hadn't broken and yet her tears were still forming as if she couldn't fight them anymore.

she sat down on a close chair nearby and tried to steady her mind and heart, they were both uncontrollable at the moment and she had no clue to why they were like this.

Will she break through the compulsion, will Kol eventually open up and tell everyone what he has done and if he does will Elijah forgive him. Find Out In The Next Chapter, THE ORIGINALS V2.
