The theater was huge.

It had to be able to seat at least 500 people, and the stage looked like it could hold an orchestra, ballet, and choir all at the same time.

I shuffled into the seats near a couple of other kids and put my backpack onto the floor.

I was so excited to finally be doing this after planning it for what felt like forever.

The shrill bell rang again and the noise coming from the hallway slowly began to fade to silence. I looked around the room and there were about 20 other kids in the class with me. They were all sitting in small groups and talking about what they did over the summer.

I heard the tell-tale sounds of heels clicking and a woman I assumed was my teacher appeared from offstage.

She clapped her hands to get our attention.

"Hello, guys! Welcome back! I hope you've all had productive and fun summers but ready to get back to work! Our musical opens in 2 months and we have a lot to get done. Oh! You can call me Mrs. Dervis by the way for those who don't know me. So anyway, let start with a couple of..." she never got to finish her sentence because someone opened the theater doors with a loud thud and interrupted the speech she had prepared.

I turned my head and saw two of the boys from earlier this morning walk in like they owned the place.

I mean they literally had that I'm hot and I know it strides down pat.

Were they raised on the catwalk or something?

Well actually, the blond was walking like he owned the place, the black haired one was trailing a couple of paces behind him looking like he would rather be anywhere else but here.

"Austin, I thought you said coach excused you from having to take my class?" Miss Dervis said with a hint of annoyance lacing her tone.

He shrugged his shoulders, "I lied. Apparently, I still need a liberal arts credit to graduate and the doodling class was full. So you're stuck with me the whole year, Susan."

He glanced around the room and noticed the small group of girls who were very happy to see the new addition to the class. He motioned for his friend to follow and they slumped into the chairs directly behind them.

So his name was Austin?

Huh.

I mean he is seriously a walking Greek statue and I totally understand why the girls are head over heels for him.

His friend was equally as handsome but in a different way. Austin looked like the embodiment of sunshine and light and his friend was like midnight. His friend had jet-black hair and a very strong facial structure. I couldn't tell what color his eyes were, but they were dark as well.

Suddenly, his eyes snapped to mine and I quickly averted my gaze back to the teacher who was clearly flustered by the new addition to the class. It took a while for people to settle down but eventually, she was able to introduce us to the syllabus for the semester.

I can tell you with confidence that I am in love with my new teacher.

Of course, she was nowhere near as amazing as my mom but she was not a bad fill in either. She was sassy, loud and didn't take crap from anyone, especially Austin. She clearly hated him for some reason so it was entertaining to watch them banter.

The class was pretty uneventful other than the scattered wisecracks from Austin.

I tried my best not to look at them but it was surprisingly hard not too.
