We used Landon's bracelet to do a locator's spell, hoping to find something, but all that showed up was a crew of workers who talked about a gas leak and didn't seem to know anything, but they seemed suspicious.

"Let's take the highway." I say, suddenly feeling a massive migraine. "Ah!" I yell out, holding my head in pain.

Hope turns around and looks at me as Alaric looks at me concernedly in his mirror. "Hey, hey what's wrong." He asks, looking at me.

Hope grabs my wrist but cries out after touching me. "Landon." She breathes out.

"Whoever has him must be trying to break into my mind." I groan. "I can find him if I let them in enough."

"No. Don't do that." Alaric demands, looking at me in the rear view mirror. "You're going to hurt yourself."

"It's not for me. It's for Hope." I mumble, opening my mind again. "Ah!" I yell out as she breaks into my mind, but I allow myself to enter her mind, seeing what she sees. "It's a motel. Take the next left."

I let go and open my eyes, looking at Hope. "What? What is it?"

"He's okay. And I know where he is." I reply, looking at her confidently.

"I want the gun." I demand, glaring at Hope as she reaches for the gun. Hope glares at me. "What?"

Hope throws me the gun, which is completely unsafe of her. Rude. Alaric follows closely behind Hope and I as I hum Mission Impossible. "Shut up." Hope whispers.

"Buzzkill." I mumble, rolling my eyes. Hope and nod at each other before I kick open the door, holding the gun out in front of me, ready to shoot. "Where is Landon Kirby?" I demand, looking at the woman in front of me with fiery eyes.

She gives me a double take. "A siren. How curious..." She mumbles. I take a step towards her and point my gun at her head. "Who the hell are they?" She asks, not seeming to scared.

"People who care about him." Hope says while stepping inside the motel. She glares at the woman.

"You're Hope. And you're the headmaster of this private school for supernaturals." She points out, smiling smugly.

"You better cut the act before I blow your head off your shoulders." I snap. "Believe me you do not want to mess with me when I'm angry."

She takes a step back. "Trust me, I know what I'm dealing with." Landon steps out and looks at us nervously.

"You were wrong. I like them." She smirks. I lower the gun cautiously, but getting ready for any sudden movements.

"Well now you know about us. All we know about you is that you're Landon's mother and someone is coming after you." Alaric says. Hope and I glare at her.

"It's not a surprise they're coming after you." I say pointedly to the woman. "I wouldn't want a toxic person like you in the world either."

Landon frowns at me while Hope glares at Landon's so called mother. "Feisty. I'm liking this one." She comments, looking at Landon.

"Yeah well you're really gonna hate me in about two sec-"

"Enough, Liliana." Alaric interrupts, pulling me towards him. I groan and rip my arms out of his grip, crossing them instead.

"I didn't know what I was signing up for, but soon I learned that things like you exist in this world." She starts after calling herself Seylah. "My job was very much like yours. To keep the supernatural world a secret."
