Maxon's POV
I wake up sitting in a rocking chair, America sleeping comfortably in our bed. I gave up my sleep last night, but it was so worth it for my family. I would give up my crown, take a bullet, and even die for my family. As long as they are safe. I walk over to our bed and wrap my arms around America. She stirs, and turns to face me.
"Good morning Maxon, sleep well."
"No unfortunately not, your children kept me awake all night. So I'd say I got 3 good hours of sleep."
"And I Thank you for it." She gives me a kiss. And even though I want more, I stop because today is a very busy day. I'm going to need a strong cup of coffee. We both get up and go to get dressed for the report tonight.
——time skip to breakfast——
Today is our first breakfast, all 7 of us. We had carriers, so America and I could each bring 2, and then Mary brought the last one. Marlee would have, but she's due any day now. So we're giving her time off until he/she is born, and 2 months afterwards.
America and I sit down, and before we eat ours, we each take a baby to feed. Then Mary, Lucy, and another maid take the other 3 to make the process faster. after we're done feeding them, we burp them. I'm burping shalom, when I feel something trickle down my back and she america busting out laughing. I'm guessing I shouldn't have worn my suit for the report to breakfast.
America walks over and grabs shalom to go change him. And I follow with Hailey and Sophie in my carriers, while mark gets the other 2. We walk into our room and America fills a tub up with water, so we can give shalom a bath. And I go and change into by backup suit. "America, I had no idea you were this good with kids."
"Well I had to help a lot with May and Gared, so I guess it just comes naturally." I give her a hug, and a kiss on the head.
"I always knew you'd be a good mother."
So I know you guys were probably looking forward to the report, but I just kinda got inspired to write this chapter. And I promise the next chapter will be the report. I'm just not sure right now how it will work out. I was thinking of Marlee going into labor in the middle of the report?
