Chapter 19

Maxons POV
America goes off to tend to Hailey, so I continue introducing the babies, about five minutes after she left, we end the show, and I walk off stage. Then a maid comes up to me. "Excuse me King Maxon, But Mrs.Woodwork has gone into labor, so America went to be with her."

"Thank you for letting me know." I reply, there's aspen and Lucy! "Hey aspen, Lucy. Marlee has gone into labor. So America's going to support her, and I'm going to support carter. Can you guys watch the babies?"

Lucy replies, " Of course Maxon, we'd do anything to help you and America out." I give aspen a hug and thank him. Little did any of us know, that they would need the practice. 🤫

I speed walk in a professional way down to the hospital wing. America sees me and runs over, "thank goodness your here! Marlee has to have a c-section!"

"Is she ok?"

"Marlee's ok, I already talked to her. Carter on the other hand, could use one on one with a dad who's went through this."

"Of course, I wish I had someone to talk to when you had a c-section." I give America a kiss and walk over to carter. Carter has his head in his hands while sitting in the corner. I pull a chair up. "Hey"

"Hey." He replies

"So, your nervous?"

"Yeah, I mean a doctor is going to cut my wife open, when she is awake!"

"Carter, Carter, calm down. They know what they are doing, Marlee needs someone who is strong. Because this is really scary for her too. And I mean it means you get to see the baby first, so I mean there's that advantage."

That gets a laugh out of carter, he pulls me in for a hug, "thank you Maxon, that really helped."

"No problem, if you need any more tips I'm here. No go take care of Your wife while she gives birth." I give him a pat on the back and walk over to America.

"He seems a lot calmer now, what did you say to him?"

"You, know that doctors know what they're doing, and Marlee needs you strong." America gives me a kiss.

"That's great advice." I wrap my arms around her waist, and she wraps her arms around my neck. Then we have a sweet, but somehow a passionate kiss.

Then I feel a pillow hit my head, "get a room! I'm trying to have a baby here!" Marlee says with a grin on her face.

"Wait, Maxon. Who's taking care of the babies?"

"Don't worry, aspen and Lucy took them."

"Oh ok, good." She replies, "can we go get our babies back?"

"Yes my dear."

"I am not your dear."

We walk up to the queens suite, where we set up a bedroom for the babies. America doesn't use the queen suite. We walk in. There's puke on the carpet! That was expensive! There are toys and clothes scattered all over the place. You'd almost think a rebel attack happened in here. And aspens attempting to Change a baby's diaper, but it's not really working out. America speaks up first, "what happened in here?"

"Let's just say we weren't ready to take care of 5 babies."

Aspen puts Sophie in my arms, then walks over to Lucy. "But I hope we can take care of one," He then sets his hand on Lucy's stomach (they won't have problems having children in this book) "because we're expecting"

America runs up to Lucy, and crushes her in a hug, "I'm so happy for you guys."

I go over and give aspen a pat on the back, " Sure your ready for this responsibility?"

"I'm sure, and if I ever need help, I'll talk to the man who can take care of five, at once."

Lucy heads towards the door, " Alright, we'll leave you two to have some bonding time with your children."

"You can leave now, but tomorrow you have to some and help clean up! That's an order from the queen!" Then we both burst out laughing.

A guard walks in, "I have some news about Mrs. Woodwork."

I see America's face goes pale, "Yes, what is it?"

Hello my readers!

I'm very sorry I didn't update on Tuesday. Tuesday night I had a high school scheduling meeting, which took 2 hours. And then last night I had church, which takes up 2 hours of my evening. And I have a crazy big Spanish test coming up, and a SS project, and a ELA project due this week. So I'm kinda busy. I might update again today, but I'm not sure. I may wait until tomorrow we'll see.
