Chapter Nine: Where The Wild Things Are

Michelle POV
Losing Leo also made me lose a part of myself, like there's now dead weight on my shoulders, a huge burden, we shouldn't have come here. My whole body just felt like it went numb, my brain felt light on the inside. I had the ring that Leo gave me that I've always kept in my pocket at all times because I didn't want to lose it in fights we have to go through,"Michelle?" I looked over slowly at Fynn,"We're gonna stay here for a couple weeks for Blaire's injury" I nodded,"Do you need to talk about it?" He walked over to me slowly and I shook my head,"Not now anyway, I'll talk to all of you when it's time" I looked over at the TV screen...that was off.

Courtney POV
"Courtney, you know we can't stay here any longer, the other groups will come here because they know this is the first house that Nikolas comes to and when they find his body out there shot in the head, they're gonna get to us first and shot our heads off" Javier said to me as I had my arms crossed,"You think I don't know that? We need...time"
"Damn it Courtney, there is no time, we're trapped if we don't leave here soon" I groaned,"i know, but we need to get more Gasoline for the road, we just need to go to Nikolas' place"
"You know, that's the Spirit Mountain Casino and there's not enough people here to protect Blaire" I shrugged,"I think Marilyn has already proved herself enough to save us"
"That's how it starts you know"
"Javier, Blaire and Dylan is raising Marilyn the right way, I can see it" He didn't speak for a couple seconds,"Maybe Dylan can stay here with Blaire" He looked over at me and I nodded,"He isn't gonna leave by her side anyway, I suggest, we take Chloe, Fynn and Michelle with us" Javier scoffed,"That is if Michelle can get her ass off that couch" I nudged him in the shoulder,"And how did you behave when you lost Hallie?"
"I thought we agreed on not mentioning her name...ever"
"No you said we should, I never agreed on anything like that, now tell me how did you behave when you lost her?" He hunched over the counter as he clenched his fists,"I couldn't hunt, I didn't secure the perimeter for days, I sat right where she was sitting for days until I found the courage to get up"
"Don't give her shit for this, she just lost someone she loved, if she doesn't want to come, she doesn't have to. Fynn and Chloe are experienced enough and with us, we'll be okay, we leave tomorrow morning, we'll talk tonight"

Blaire POV
Dylan was back on the side of my bed again,"Dylan, you don't always have to keep an eye on me, I'll be fine" He held my hand and kissed it,"I know you always do, there's not much going on downstairs"
"Michelle will be okay, she's just in a tougher spot now" He nodded,"You should probably go down there anyway, Missy needs to be fed and watered" He got up to get his jacket,"I'll be back up here" I rested my eyes for a while, I looked over and the book was still there, I opened it and read a little of Pistol Pete, Rocky Balboa, Mulan, I more like skimmed through the pages that I wrote from memory to the section of the stories that I originally wrote, I heard voices from downstairs,"We'll discuss it tonight, make sure Blaire knows about this too" Footsteps coming up here, it was Dylan,"I fed and watered her, she'll be okay now" I nodded,"Stories you've written there for Marilyn?" I handed the book to him,"Seven Alone? Pistol Pete? Shakiest Gun In The West? The Ghost + Mr.Chicken?" He chuckled in amusement,"The last 2 were my childhood movies, Don Knotts, you know him?" He shrugged,"Only a little bit, tell me about him"
"Don Knotts was in The Andy Griffith Show, Shakiest Gun In The West about him playing as a Dentist moving to the West to help, but a criminal woman had to go undercover to in order to clean her record, she had to find out who was smuggling the rifles to the Native Americans, unfortunately, she couldn't travel without a Husband"

"Also the one who couldn't shoot a gun, it's a comedy really, it's amazing wish you could've seen it" He smiled,"And The Ghost + Mr.Chicken?" I explained the 2nd movie to him,"The townspeople were superstitious about the murderhouse of a married couple who died and later on, the organ plays every year at midnight on the night of their murder anniversary, so Don was assigned to stay one night in the house of the murder anniversary, again wish you could've seen it"
