Lisa wakes up to the blur of little lights from wherever she cannot determine yet, slowly it barges into her eyes and forcefully reflects lights into her retina. Before her mind can process the memory before her blackout, the next thing her brain processes is the massive pain all over her body instead, which—by the way—is so painful she swears she was hit by a truck that she is now ending up there staring at a white boring ceiling of what she is sure is a hospital room.

She blinks several times to adjust the focus of her eye lenses, as if doing so may enable her to capture and process her whole surrounding through her wobbly senses. She can pretty much guess what happened then as her brain flashes images down her memory lane.

So that is it, huh?

One moment she was enjoying one of the best days she ever had in the past two years and the next moment she is awake under the roof of a hospital with oxygen provided especially for her to help her breathe just so that she can stay alive stably.

It takes her brain a couple of seconds to process her mockery until her brain is wired and flashes a clear image of a certain someone with a gummy smile and sends Lisa's reflexes flying in panic with a name ringing in her head.

Jennie!

"Easy."

A cold touch catches her jolted body and it takes her good 5 seconds to stare at the figure whose hands are holding her thin arms and let his image sink into her consciousness.

Now all she wants to do is run.

Because in front of her, Khun is staring at her with a pair of eyes breaking her heart and whatever it is left in her guts as she sees his soul is practically either washed down to his feet or thrown out of his head; either way, it is not something she is fond of seeing.

The sight before her eyes stuns her so much that she cannot find her voice and ends up slapping Khun's hands instead as if they are a pair of hazardous threats. She chants the same inaudible word over and over again until her hoarse voice can finally take its volume up a notch and coldly tell Khun to leave the room, but seeing unbudging Khun only makes her way more unstable and ends up shouting uncontrollably.

Her voice attracts a few nurses who immediately rush into Lisa's room trying to calm her down as she keeps on shouting at him, demanding him to leave her sight immediately. Lisa is clearly furious at him but for reason, he cannot quite fathom. He also cannot quite fathom her despise towards him at the moment because Lisa is the calm water you can float on and know very much in your guts that it will definitely bring you safely back to the shore every time.

So he does not know where this sudden havoc of a storm comes from, slapping his being, completely failing him to process this new sight of Lisa he has never seen that forces him to stand there frozen turning into a simulacrum as he ends up watching Lisa being calmed down by an elder nurse whom she seems to be recognising well enough that her tantrums slowly turns to what he understands as pleads. It is only by the time a small tap landing on his shoulder that his body is awakened and unfrozen, making him whip his head towards the gentle touch.

"It's better if you wait outside for a while."

"Chaeyoung!"

Lisa exclaims in an off-key tune, seems to be torn between being happy and unamused by Chaeyoung's presence, whose touch seems to give Khun a little peace. Still, there is a little bit of relief painted in Lisa's voice, ignoring Khun intentionally in the hope he will finally leave the room.

Nichkhun is seemingly sharp enough to slowly pick what just happened up and choose not to force his unwanted presence longer in the same space as Lisa's, so he retreats and goes to catch a glimpse of fresh air outside Lisa's room or probably catch something to bite from the vending machine.
