He is probably a person with the most unique luck ever; Kai has finally gotten to make his "idol" an acquaintance, he even managed to share a pleasant evening with her until one minute they were talking and the next minute—
—The next minute he is sitting next to Lisa who is lying unconscious on a stretcher inside a rushing ambulance, making their way to The Winchesters. The blood pouring out of her nose worries him so terribly, although he is not in the best shape to make an examination considering the amount of alcohol he just digested—he might as well inject it into his vein at that point, he at least knows that there is a high possible chance that Lisa's sudden blackout with her excessive nosebleed means that she has damaged a blood vessel in her brain near her sinus. He has not examined her eyes yet but looking at her condition, there are just so many various scenarios of wrong flying about his head.
"Female, mid-thirty, unconscious on site with an excessive nosebleed. BP 136 over 89. A pulse of 118," Kai shouts at dr. Finnegan—the head of trauma of The Winchesters Memorial Hospital—who is on call that night. Finnegan quickly moves Lisa into the ER as soon as the paramedic unloads her off the vehicle. The doctor examines the patient's face closely and immediately recognises her.
"It's dr. Manoban, everyone," dr. Finnegan shouts and just like that, everyone who seemed to be in a rush is suddenly placed in total order.
Kai can only be stuck in his trance wondering how everyone suddenly shifts and moves as if they are performing a different protocol the moment they hear the name of the patient; as if there is a special protocol reserved under dr. Manoban.
"We need to page dr. Park," the voice of dr. Finnegan seems to be flying over his head because Kai just stands there as if thinking his brain out about what just happened.
What does dr. Park, a haematologist, has anything to do with it?
Should they not page a neurosurgeon on-call that night?
"Hold up, shouldn't we page dr. Aldrich?" Kai stops the woman who is in charge asking her if they should page the neurosurgeon on-call that night. Dr. Finnegan just stares at him before she realises that since Lisa's case does not concern him as a neurosurgeon, he has no idea about it and dr. Finnegan knows she must keep his obliviousness that way because she is not in the position to disclose Lisa's real condition to any living soul. So she just politely asks him to wait until dr. Park arrives at the scene.
"Just let me check her first then," Kai says pleadingly, seemingly insisting on it, to which dr. Finnegan furrows her eyebrows at him. She knows very well how responsible dr. Kim is and he is not the type to insist to check on a patient knowingly being under the influence of alcohol.
"You know you are not qualified to do an examination on a patient at the moment, dr. Kim," she sternly told him before she continues, "We have checked everything thoroughly, now we just need to wait for dr. Park. Please, let's just wait for her."
At least he tries.
If anything, he feels guilty more than he is bewildered because he was the person who was with Lisa last before she kissed the floor unconscious. He only has himself to blame because what if she was actually not in any condition to have any alcohol but then he kind of insisted her for a drink that turned out to be four bottles of drinks and she fainted because of it. He cannot help worrying over Lisa and his arse but again, there is not much he can do being put under such a circumstance. So the only thing he can do is just pray.
Pray that Lisa does not die on him.

Yesterday she had decided that when came the time when it only hurt more if she stayed, then she would be okay letting go. Yesterday she had decided when came the time when she was not allowed to live for another day, then she would peacefully forfeit.
