Yoongi's Point of View

Y/N was sat at the breakfast bar, cupping her warm mug as she stared down intently into the liquid as though it was the most fascinating thing that she'd ever laid her eyes upon. Yoongi's heart was finally starting to still in his chest.

What was that all about?

Why was his heart thundering in his chest? His eardrums pounding? His stomach flipping over with enough velocity to knock him sick? Were his hands visibly shaking or did it just feel like they were?

"Yoongi?" Her voice broke him from his trance. His gaze flicked up to meet hers. Her hair was pushed back from her face as she ran her hand through it, blinking. "Did you hear me?"

"Sorry." He smiled, lifting his own coffee to his lips, relieved that his hands were in fact steady. "What did I miss?"

"I asked how you were getting on with the case." Her voice was quiet and heavier than usual, almost like she hadn't slept enough. Should he ask her if she needed to go back to bed? Would she take that in a suggestive way? Was he overthinking?

His heart roared in his chest in response as her hand reached across the table and lightly squeezed his. Her eyebrows were crinkled across her forehead, her mouth slightly ajar. "Are you alright?" She asked and Yoongi realised how he must have looked, zoning out all of the time - very far from his usual self.

He cleared his throat and internally warned himself to give his head a shake. It wasn't working out too well, he was struggling to concentrate. "How about we make a deal?"

Y/N's Point of View

"What kind of deal?" I asked, tracing the rim on the mug with my forefinger

"What kind of deal?" I asked, tracing the rim on the mug with my forefinger.

"Let's not talk shop." He said simply. "Let's just talk."

"Well, that depends on what you want to talk about," I admitted, not wanting to get into anything too serious that would stir unwanted emotions.

"Tell me something that you've never told anyone."

"There are lots of things that I've never told anyone." I countered. He smirked, resting his cup against his bottom lip.

"Well then, you shouldn't have too much difficulty picking something to divulge." Yoongi laughed.

"If I tell you something I've never told anyone, are you going to return the favour?"

"Of course," Yoongi guaranteed. "If I didn't, that would just be me prying."

"Uhm." I thought for a moment, my mind suddenly going blank. "Jeez, this is harder than I thought it would be."

"I'll go first if you'd like?" He shrugged, taking another hearty sip from his cup. He lifted his gaze and caught my eye, his face steely. "I don't believe Kim Taehyung is guilty."
