Thank you for reading my Author's Note. It really means a lot.
Jungkook had struggled to hide his reluctance when I climbed into Yoongi's car. He stood, holding the door open, looking at me carefully.
"You've got my number." He reiterated. "If you need me, call me." I shook my head at him, exhausted. Yoongi rolled his eyes as he fastened his seat belt.
"Don't worry babe." Yoongi teased, leaning over me slightly. "If I run into a lick of trouble, you'll be my first point of call." Jungkook's face hardened at Yoongi's mocking tone. He cast me one last look, one last warning look, before he closed the door over. "Seatbelt on, Y/N." Yoongi ordered. I obliged but after that I was in a world of my own.
It may have been because I was so tired but by the time I got to Yoongi's house, I was feeling that particular type of high where you've had too little sleep and too little to eat. Yoongi must have sensed it on the drive over as he made his way over to the door, helping me out of the car. I appreciated it, feeling like my legs may snap at the knee otherwise. I didn't fancy a mouthful of pavement. He led me straight through to the spare bedroom that I'd stayed in after the Ball and I couldn't help but pout as he forced me to sit on the edge of the bed.
"What is that look for?" He questioned, fidgeting slightly with his glasses. I blinked slowly about to answer him and tell him exactly what that look was for but he spoke again. "You were falling asleep in the car and I can tell by looking at you that you need sleep and to eat. Time isn't going to go any quicker if you refuse to look after yourself, Y/N. No one will thank you for it, especially not your mother and especially not yourself." He smiled lightly. "So, let me grab you something to eat and then you can have some rest. No arguments."
I waited for him to leave the room before I rolled my eyes. Throwing myself back against the sheets, I cursed myself for getting so comfortable. I could feel myself drifting off when Yoongi re-entered the room, a tray in hand. He placed it down on the side table before leaning over me slightly to check that my eyes were open. "Don't worry, I'm still breathing." I muttered, feeling like each of my limbs weighed a ton.
"Thank Goodness for that." Yoongi mocked as he pulled me up into a sitting position, propping the pillows behind my back before popping the tray down on my lap. "I would have hated having to call Officer Jeon to tell him the news." I smiled lightly, looking down at the tray of food that he'd put together. There really was something for everyone. "I don't expect you to eat everything. But eating something would be a good start." I looked down at what was before me, settling on the melon as I popped a piece into my mouth.
"You don't have to watch me, if you have things to do." I told him, melon still in my mouth. He was hovering and I knew it. "I'm not going to hide pieces of food in your furniture to convince you I've eaten more than I have, don't worry." He shook his head, laughing.
"I can't say that thought had ever occurred to me, but thanks for not hiding food in the crevices of my house?" He smirked. "I'm actually waiting to take your plate away once you're done. You can't sleep with a tray on your lap." I opened my mouth but Yoongi's words filled the silence. "No arguments."
