Her boss is a bit of a jerk.
Her ex-boyfriend is desperate to find his way back into her heart.
When her boss starts an investigation surrounding her ex-boyfriend, where will her loyalties lie? Will her mind conquer her heart?
Kai took me to a local jukebox bar that we used to frequent when we were teenagers with fake ID's. Scoring us the table closest to the jukebox, Kai placed the drinks menu down in front of me as I shrugged out of my jacket. I didn't even need to look at it.
"Vodka and lemonade, double." I gave Kai my order. He stripped out his own jacket, placing it over the back of the chair before heading over to the bar. He came back a few moments later with four drinks rather than two. He backtracked to the bar, picking up a couple of baskets filled with snacks. "I meant double the measure, not double the drink." I teased.
"Saves me having to go back to the bar in five minutes time," Kai responded.
"Touche." I smiled, gesturing my glass in his direction before I drank deeply from it. Kai took his seat, copying my motion.
"We should toast." He commented after we'd already taken a drink.
"Aren't you supposed to toast before you've had a drink?" I asked with a smile on my face. He waved his hand as though it was matterless.
"Just a minor detail," He laughed. "Let's toast to long-overdue catchups and lifelong friendships."
"Sounds good to me." I raised my glass to chime against his. "Cheers."
"Cheers." He smiled, his whole face radiating.

Yoongi's Point of View
A few hours had passed and Yoongi was in the kitchen filling his coffee cup up for the fifth time. Just as he was picking up his cup, a knock rang out against the door. He jumped slightly, splashing his shirt with the hot liquid.
"Fuck-" He swore beneath his breath, placing his coffee cup down immediately. Grabbing the tea towel from the bench, he wiped himself down as he headed over to the door as a second knock rang out.
No more coffee today. He was a jittering mess as it was.
Opening the door wide, he couldn't help but roll his eyes when he saw who was standing on the other side. Deciding not to have a fight in the doorway, he walked away, leaving it open so his 'guest' could let himself in.

"How can I help you?" Yoongi asked, seeking out his coffee cup once more. He'd make this one the last one. He took a large mouthful and tried not to pull his face as the scalding liquid burned his tongue and the back of his throat.
"I'm here to pick up Y/N." Jungkook spoke, looking around the kitchen but not leaving his space two steps away from the door. "Where is she?"
"Is this something she'd arranged?" Yoongi asked, making sure to conceal any files that were laying across the table. Jungkook shrugged, taking another cautious step into the house.
