Kaiden P.O.V

'You don't have school tomorrow because of the snow and ice so if your gonna stay at your friends tell me.'

I read the text on my phone and sighed.

"Who was it?" Xavier mumbled

"My dad."

'I am so have fun or whatever you do when I'm not home' I texted

"I'll be back." Xavier said getting up.

"Okay."

Xavier left the room shutting the door behind him.

'Love you and see you soon.'

I stared at the text from my father.

'Love you too dad.'

I put my phone on the stand and looked through my back pack.

I pulled off my jeans and put on some black basketball shorts.

After I took off my shirt I grabbed my pants and put them both into the back pack.

I grabbed a black shirt that said

"Money can buy happiness look at my wife for an example"

I put my arms through the arms holes and pulled the shirt over my head.

I heard the door open and a hard footstep of a sudden stop.

I pulled the shirt down and looked at Xavier standing in the door.

"What's up?"  I smiled

I picked up my backpack and put it back in the corner of the room.

"N-Nothing!"

I turned back looking at Xavier.

He was now wearing tighter sweatpants that got tight around the knee and stopped at the calf.

He didn't have a shirt though...

Xavier and I sat down on the bed silently.

"I'm gonna go get some food." Xavier sighed.

He got up off the bed and looked back at me.

"Cold pizza?" He said pointing at me.

"Definitely not!" I exclaimed

"I know." Kaiden laughed leaving the room.

A few minuets went by in complete silence.

Does it take this long? Am I being impatient?

Kaiden walked back in pizza hanging from his mouth.

"Here." Kaiden mumbled.

He held out a plate with a sandwich on it.

I took the plate.

"Was your mom there?"

Xavier hesitated before sitting on the bed.

"Yeah."

"Like, What happened?"

Xavier stiffened

"Y-You don't have to tell me!"

"No, it's fine." Xavier sighed

"You sure?"

"Yeah, you were gonna find out sooner or later. Better from me than her or Dad."

"Yeah..."

"When I was 9 my mom decided she was gonna leave."

Xavier chuckled.

I looked at Xavier and put my hand on his bare shoulder.

Xavier looked over at me his eyes were glossy.

"And she uhm." Xavier sniffled wiping his nose.

"Shut up." I said pulling him into a hug. "I don't need to know."

Xavier tightened his grip around me as he cried into my shoulder.

I pulled back.

Xavier lunged towards me and smashed his lips into mine wrapping his arms around my neck.
