I ran up a hill on the field of sunflowers
The sun shining against my complexion
I could do this for hours
If it wasn't for exhaustion
I met the top of the hill, I froze.
I saw him looking at me
Why is he like a ghost?
Always giving fright to me?
My heart raced as he walked closer
But my feet did so too
This girl didn't know what came over her
The audience gave a thousand boos
We were inches apart
He gently pulled me closer
It gave pain in my heart
I missed him no longer
No longer for he is at my front
He looks at my eyes as I look into his
Had I hear him grunt?
Or was it my subconscious?
He leaned closer and my heart was racing
I saw beside me the sun was crescent.
I realized what he was doing
For love has such essence
I slowly closed my eyes
Waiting.
Then it happened, I froze like ice
Our lips met, we were kissing
A tear dropped from my eye
How long has he thought of being back?
Why today?
Did courage he lacked?
My vision darkened.
I pulled mine away from his lips
And I saw the sun
There was an eclipse.
