Graham takes one hand off of the steering wheel and latch his fingers around my hand that was playing with the necklace. Our intertwined hands fell down in the middle, where Graham drove with one hand silently and the other hand holding mine.
"I think I'm allowed to be nervous if I'm meeting your parents for the first time," I announce, looking down at my other free hand and was tempted to touch the silver necklace when I remember I needed Graham to keep driving. "Especially when I'm meeting them at some fancy gala that you only told me two hours ago."
