chapter 1

REGINA

My alarm rings violently down my ears causing me to shoot up from my slumber. I lean over to the bedside table and slam my hand down on the alarm clock and letting it drop to the floor with a thud. I grab my phone off charge and fall back into my pillow I scroll through all my notifications:

Robin: Regina...im sorry

Robin: Regina please answer me

Robin: Can we talk please?

I roll my eyes at the sight of Robins name and then throw my phone on the other side of the king sized bed ignoring all his messages and calls. I drag my self up and out of the silk red covers and wonder into the bathroom starting up the shower waiting for it to get warm. I strip down of my clothes and turn to look at myself in the full length mirror. my arms sagged to my sides as I looked myself up and down. Disgusting. My arms and back where clocked in purple bruises and not to mention my face... I had a busted lip and there was a black band across my nose symbolising a deep bruise.

I stumble down the stairs ignoring the fact that the house was a bomb sight from what happened the night before. I walk up to the mirror by the front door trying to avoid stepping on any glass and tripping over tipped chairs while checking that my make up was all still intact and checking the bruises weren't visible.

Later That Afternoon...

I walked into granny's diner with the bell chiming before I even step in. I walk over to an empty booth and flipping through the menu pretending like I don't know what I'm going to order.

I submit my order to Ruby and she waltzes off with a bounce in her step and Dorothy trailing behind her like a helpless lost puppy. I let of a small smile at the sight and look back down to my hands and begin to examine the red nail polish that was becoming chipped. Smile I once had on my face was wiped of in seconds when I felt a shadow cast over me and a chill run down my spine I look up into there gaze and there he stood... 'Robin'- every time I would say his name I would gag in disgust. Before I could even open my mouth to talk his lips crashed into mine causing me to whimper in pain. Everyone in this town thinks that Robin is my boyfriend and that we live a happy life. False.
