You desperately darted up the stairs, careful not to trip and fall through one of the gaps as you heard distant steps behind you, you didn't dare look back. Your grip on your pearl only got tighter when you felt him slipping, as you reached the second level of the moon base.  The second floor was empty apart from a warp-like stream containing a blue spherical object in the middle of the room. You wished you had time to examine it, but you pressed on, knowing danger was nearing the both of you.

When you reached the third and final level, the top floor was covered by a geodesic dome that allowed a scenic view of another planet. Earth. In the center of the room, there was a raised platform with a single chair and a dashboard. The chair had a diamond communicator  embedded in it's left arm while the right arm had some of the controls used to access the computer and adjust the position of the chair. 

You raced up the steps towards the platform, and turned the communicator one hundred and  eighty degrees, however, before you could press the white colored facet, there was just too little time, and you needed to hide.

 You heard a faint cry in the background emit from the diamond, and immediately, you felt a wave of guilt wash over you. Ignoring diamonds was something you hadn't intended to do on this journey, let alone Pink Diamond. You were sure White would have ordered you to stay out of sight from her, for White knew how persuasive Pink was when it came to bringing others to her side.

You examined the space underneath the panel, although it wasn't a lot of room, it was fit for two bubbles, and so, draining energy from your body, you formed a bubble over your body  as you felt your physical form shrinking and shape-shifting to your shining, ethereal diamond and your pearl's chiffon white gem. 

Your large bubble, under your control, floated underneath the panel, as you had high hopes this would provide Pink and her pearl no sight of you. You tried your best to ease your nerves, as you communicated with your pearl, which was much easier as you were both in the same bubble, something you had never done before.

"I'm sorry, My Diamond." He said, shame in his tone. 

"It's alright, my friend. I understand you wanted to only calm me down." You responded to him shakily, fearing the worst would happen once Pink Diamond found out the truth about you.

 In the nick of time, Pink Diamond had arrived at the top level with her Pearl close behind, you prayed and hope they wouldn't approach your bubbles. 

"Now, where did they go..?" She questioned, crossing her arms as disappointment colored her tone as her pearl responded, sounding quite robotic and obedient, it made you sad.

"I am not sure, My Diamond. Would you like me to search the room?" She clasped both of her hands and sent her Diamond a warm smile.

"It is fine, my pearl. We came here to do one thing, let's not let distractions get to us." Pink Diamond spoke in a formal manner, walking up the steps of the raised platform and taking a seat in the single chair with a platform. 

She saw how the diamond communicator was shifted, and frowned. "White..?" She said in a confuzzled tone. She hadn't heard from any of the diamonds in so long after she went "missing."

"It appears they attempted to contact White Diamond, My Diamond." The pearl clarified, assuming her Diamond was confused. Pink churned the communicator back into place, refusing to touch it anymore.
