"You are the stupidest person I have ever met," I'm panting as I approach my sister, walking up the hill towards where she had emerged from the elf's cave a few seconds ago.

"Opal. I feel....different, I feel better among the elves. I need to help them," she tells me.

As I get closer to her, I punch her. Hard. She staggers backwards, clutching her arm and I immediately feel bad for it. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I tell her. "I....I don't know why I did that,"

She looks at me. "I do. You were never me, Opal. You don't understand me,"

I roll my eyes. "We've gone over this several times since you've arrived at this school. And I was.... Now. Let's get you back to school....and we might have a bit of trouble there,"

As we approach the school, it's clear that it's in a frenzy. The streets are covered with people, yelling and shouting, and several dragons are being released into the sky, experienced trackers on their backs, scanning the grounds everywhere.

"I....uh....It might be best if I went in first," I mutter, my eyes cast on the ground. "They're....looking for you, as you can see,"

She hooks her arm through mine. "No. We'll go in together. I'm not afraid, Opal. I can face this,"

As we walk into the city, people begin shouting at us. I wince and cover my head, afraid that they'll start throwing stones at us. It's obvious that the village is angry at Ruby.

"Please!" Ruby calls. "Let me....let me explain. I can, I know I can,"

"Clear the way!" a voice cries from near the school. The crowd parts to reveal Saimad and he walks slowly towards us. I begin to tremble.

"Ruby." he says, offering her his hand. "Come. Let us talk,"
