Waking up, I found that I was in my bed. But I don’t remember getting there. The last thing I remember is that Niklaus dropped me off at my house and I was sitting on my front porch.
I recalled my dream that I had.
“Klaus!” I screamed as I ran through the darkness of the woods. I tripped over a fallen log and cracked my head on it. Blood ran down the side of my face trailing over my eyelid and I quickly wiped it away. I stood up slowly, using a tree beside me to help me up. I continued on my way, struggling to find the man I loved, to find where he had gone and try to stop them from killing him. I couldn’t lose him.
Voices in my head rang out, “You won’t get to him in time.” “You won’t save him.” “He will die.” “He is evil.” “He deserves to die.” “We will stake him and bury him in concrete.” “You will be all alone.” “You won’t have your lover anymore.” “He is a vampire. Evil incarnated.”
I didn’t know what they meant by stake him but that last sentence answered it. Vampire? No way. I had to find him before they killed him. Why would anyone kill a human being anyways?
Yesterday Klaus told me, “You don’t know what I look like when I’m not in love with you.” That simple exclamation was the first time he had told me that he loved me. I remember feeling so ecstatic hearing that and I smiled hugely at him, knowing I could finally break down his walls and he could finally be mine. I was a selfish creature and I wanted him all to myself. I didn’t want to remember a time when he wasn’t in love with me and me with him. I needed to keep Klaus with me, keep him happy. I would do anything and everything in my power to keep him safe. I would go to the ends of this earth to keep Klaus Mikealson happy and out of harms reach.
I heard screams and I ran towards them to find Klaus killing people with a sword. How could he move so fast? A man jumped onto his back and I screamed again, causing him to look at me, madness in his eyes. But then he managed to turn and rip the man’s head off. He turned back to me and his eyes widened as he mouthed my name. I was his weakness, I was the reason he could die. I ruined everything.
I felt hands around my throat and I struggled with the person who was restraining me. The hands began to choke the life out of me and with my last breath, I screamed for Niklaus. The last thing I saw was his blurred form rushing towards me.
After that dream, I woke up gasping and I still get lightheaded just thinking about it. Was this a dream or was this a premonition? Hell no one could have premonitions. I clearly was just putting Niklaus on a pedestal and making him out to be my knight and shining armor. This reason must have been because he was what I was looking for and what I needed.
I slowly got up, holding my head as the pounding began to get worse. I made my way into the bathroom and got into the shower after I undressed. After taking a long shower, I got out only feeling a little better and heard knocking on my door. I made my way downstairs only in a towel.
I opened the door to reveal the bright sunlight and Niklaus.
“Hello love. How are you this afternoon?” He asked, leaning against the doorjamb.
“Afternoon? What time is it?” I asked, rubbing my head again.
“It’s about 2 o’clock darling.” He said smiling.
“Damn, I slept way too long.”
“Well you were kind of inebriated last night.”
“So what exactly are you here for Niklaus?” I asked, motioning him to come in.
“Call me Klaus, and I wanted to see if you would like to have dinner with me?” He asked, making his way into his house.
I nodded and smiled. “I would like that very much. Let me go change and we can go out.”
He nodded and I made my way back upstairs. I changed quickly into a pair of leggings, a long-sleeve maroon shirt, and some boots. I blow dried my hair making it look curly. I didn’t apply make-up rarely ever doing so as I preferred the natural look. I began to think about my dream and how now he wanted me to call him Klaus. It’s so confusing.
I walked down the stairs and the eyes of Klaus widened as he took me in. “You look beautiful darling.”
“Thank you.” I smiled and took his held out hand. He led me out to his car, a black escalade and helped me into the passenger seat.
“You’re such a gentleman.” I said smiling.
“Old ways and such.” He answered as he got into the driver’s side door.
“Yes, your name seems very old fashioned as well.”
“My parents liked the older style of things.” He said, smiling a secret smile to himself. I wouldn’t question him just yet, but it would be a question I would bring up. “Where would you like to go darling?”
“You’re in control, you decide.” I answered, watching the outside flash by.
“Mmm I like the sound of that.” Klaus answered, I felt his eyes on me but I didn’t look over.
