Alison rolled her eyes. "You adopt her but don't tell her about the whole family, Mother?" she spit her name out like venom. Alison glanced back over at me. "She's my twin sister who tried to kill me when we were six. Actually she tried to drown me." she explained to me.
I felt my heart sink. I was put for adoption because of my sisters. They couldn't be those people right? "She tried to kill you? Your twin sister?" I questioned.
"Yup." she answered popping the 'p'. "If it wasn't for my little sister I wouldn't be here. Except my parents here thought it would be safer if they put her up adoption." she continued. I was that little sister. I was that sister that was put up for adoption. It was all me.
I quickly stood up from my chair. "Can I be excuse?" Before they could answer I ran to my room and close the door shut and locked it. I went to the closet and looked at all of the boxes until I found one that said 'Family' on it. I pulled it out and started to look through it. There was only pictures of Alison, and a few with two Alison's. Which meant Courtney was in it, but I couldn't tell who was who. They were the same person. I stared down at the pictures of the two. They both looked happy in the pictures. What went wrong between the two to get Courtney to try and kill Alison?
Once I reached bottom, I found a old picture. In the back was Mr and Mrs D, in the middle was a little boy, twins on each side of him, then in the front was a little girl less then three. I undid the back of picture frame and pulled the picture out. On the back it had different names, Mom, Dad, Jason, Alison and Courtney. On the bottom was a name I knew.
It said Chloe.

After a hour of starring at the picture and trying to figure out how they could be my family. The family that put me up for adoption. I didn't know what to do, but it made sense. My eyes were the exact same color as Jessica and Jason, and my hair was exactly like Alison's.
I waited until I knew Alison was gone when I went back into the kitchen. Where Mrs. D was cleaning up dinner. I went over to her and tapped on her shoulder. She jumped and faced me. "Oh Chloe you scared me. What happened during dinner?"
Instead of answering I handed her the picture with side showing of all of us. When she turned it around, her eyes widen. "Do they know? Alison and them?" I asked.
"Chloe-"
"Do they know?" I repeated raising my voice.
She sighed. "No, only your father and I."
A tear started to form in my eyes, as I blinked them away. "It was an open adoption, and I never heard a word from you. I loved you." I cried. "Did you know I waited by the phone everyday, even on my birthday? Yet I still got nothing. Not even a cheap birthday card." I added.
A tear went down her cheek. "It wasn't until two months laters that I regretted giving you away. Alison had always wondered where you went, and so did Courtney when we went to see her as a family. I tried getting you back but I wasn't allowed too. I tried every year until you had turned ten. I thought you would've forgotten about us by then."
I felt a tear start to roll down my cheek but I quickly wiped it away. "Then how did you find me?"
"Someone wanted to adopt you and they had to get our permission. We had ask them what happened to your first adopt parents but they said it was personal only that they had die. We didn't sign the papers and we took that chance to get back in your lives." She explained.
"Is that why you hugged me?"
She came over to me and put her hands on my shoulders. "I hugged you because I love you and missed you. I missed so much of you life, all because I didn't feel like I could keep you safe." She answered.
