After the twins renter the room, we all talked about life. Well that and they asked about the whole glasses thing. Alison was determined to get me contacts, while both Mom and Courtney actually liked my glasses. In the end, I told them I wanted to get contacts. It's not like I was siding with Alison, it's just I had a way with my glasses. One day I would wear contact and the other day I would wear my glasses. Especially because my eyes were sensitive and it's just easier on me.
After the whole glasses conversation, it was Mom's turn to bring up something. "As you guys may know, our house is cramped. With Chloe being back and same with Courtney, we need a new house." She started.
Alison rolled her eyes, "Thanks a lot, Captain Obvious." I quickly slapped her arm, telling her to shut up. Ali glared at me but shut up.
Our mother glared at Alison, but continued. "Before Chloe arrived, and before we thought about bring you home Courtney. Your father and I were looking at houses. After the two of you came home, we found one house that would fit us all." Mom paused and smiled. "What I'm trying to say is that we have a new house. We just have to sign the papers and we can move in."
Courtney smiled, "Do I get my own room?" Courtney asked, almost yelling.
Mom turned and faced her, "Yes." She answered Courtney's question and Courtney got all happy and started dancing. Something I wish to never see again. "But," My mother interrupted. "You have to share your bathroom."
Courtney looked at me first and pointed at me, "With Chloe?" She asked, and Mom shook her head. "Jason?" Again, Mom shook her head.
Alison quickly stood up, "I have to share a bathroom with her!" She yelled.
I chuckled and grabbed her arm, "Hey, at lease they didn't stick with their first plan." I told her.
Alison quickly glanced back at our mother, "What was the first plan?" She asked.
Mom sighed, "You and your sister were originally going to share a room together, but your father and I decided that would be a death sentence." She explained.
Alison then looked down at me, "Did you know about this?"
I nodded, "She told me this morning when you two were sleeping." I smirked, "I guess the early bird does get the worm."
Mom cleared her throat, "You guys should also know, that the house we bought has a pool." She told us. That's when my stomach dropped.
Alison looked down at me and smirked, "Well, well, looks like Courtney and I will be teaching you how to swim underwater." She tilted her head, "Maybe the early bird doesn't always get the worm."
