Waking up at the regular time, it is now the day after Artem had cooked the rather sumptuous dish.

Of course, he is fast asleep at the moment - as if he was in what the old books called "cryosleep".

"I wonder what else you're hiding from others," I say whilst looking at his sleeping face.

Still... it is pretty miraculous that he is still asleep, I thought as the upper part of Artem's body was hanging off the edge of the bed.

Doing what a good person would do, I try to move his body back onto the bed, but...

"Are you a dragon?!" I say aloud whilst using my maximum ability to try carrying out the task.
[Author: You'd be surprised.]

Eventually, I managed to move him back on the bed - albeit becoming tired out in the process.

Before leaving, I remember what The Stranger said when I met him.

He said to me to head West to Akashic Records Academy, as though something is going to happen in the future. With hope in my heart, I did so, for the guidance of The Stranger had bestowed upon my homeland times of happiness and prosperity.

Perhaps meeting Artem was not a coincidence. Through the instructions of The Stranger, I have encountered him, so it is quite a predicament for me.

Even when The Stranger is wrong, he often does it on purpose. My people have already owed much, so all I can do is wait and see.

The people of this land speak of a Demon Lord - an entity who goes against the natural laws of the world and brings doom unto those who oppose him. It is said that it was Akasha, the Deity of Light, who created the Heroes of legend - those are appointed by the deity to drive back the Demon Lord.

The Heroes are said to have immortality and eternal youth, as the very first hero is supposedly still alive even to this day.

"Ah, vice president Fujita!" says a voice - the owner of the voice is Hanke Gabriel Ó Maoláin, who is the president of the Akasha Research Club (which the club's mission is to further student's knowledge on the religious canon and history of the Church of Akasha).

"Hm? What do you need?" I inquire.

"Have you seen Artem Lockwood around? I have a letter from the local archcleric to deliver."

"He should be in his dorm unless he woke up and left when I was on my way out."

"Ah, thanks vice president," he says whilst heading to the dorm room.

Strange... why would archcleric Adelmar be interested in contacting Artem? He is not the type of person to just invite people out of the blue, much less someone he does not know... this is far too suspicious, I thought to myself as I head outside and walk towards the cafeteria - mostly because it was closer to the dorms.

I'll have to keep Artem alive. If The Stranger is right, I would need to make sure he survives if I want to get what I want...

"You wish to take on the mantle, do you not?"

"I didn't know you were so keen on listening in?" I ask The Stranger, who had... appeared out of thin air - or at least that is what it seems to me.

"Well, when you have plenty of time, sometimes you would happen to listen in."

"Yet how do you know what I want?"

"Well, considering what I have done in the past, I would be paying attention to what people would think of me."

As The Stranger and I continue heading toward the cafeteria - well, The Stranger is essentially just tagging along at this point - I wonder how long he has been watching or if he was just bored out of his mind.
