Two years later

Quickly, Elle followed Ethan as he walked inside their new apartment just a few blocks away from their old one. He wanted a new home, to start fresh and be like they used to be. A time many years ago where they first met and their feelings were special.

"What do you want to eat for dinner later?" Ethan turns to Elle as he grabbed her soft small hand. She forced a smile at him, hugging his sides as they both stepped in together.

A new chapter of life.

"Indian food," she responds shyly.

He nods, pressing his lips against hers while slightly brushing her jaw with his fingertip, "Whatever you want."

Elle forced another smile, especially when he kissed the side of her throat. She knew what that lead to.

And Elle couldn't say no. Ever.

It was not like he'd force himself on her. Whenever she didn't feel like being touched, he didn't.

After a time, which felt like hours, he dressed again since he had a couple of things to do and buy dinner for tonight. As Elle pulled the blanket up to cover her chest, gazing at Ethan's back until he turns to her, "My parents will come to visit us tomorrow. Call yours as well, if-"

"They are not in town," She interrupts him, leaning back and pressing her lips together.

"Your brother?"

She shook her head, making her head more comfortable on her pillow while shutting her eyes to rest a little, "I think he's working. He wanted to visit on the weekend anyway." Rory. The only human being on this earth she trusts the most. Without him, Elle couldn't ever survive being married nor moving on from their kidnapped little brother.

Still no news.

Ethan hums, looking at his wife and admiring her beauty. But his time schedule stressed him, just thinking about being gone for two weeks in a couple of days made him sad. He didn't want to leave his wife. He wanted to take her with him but she hates travelling for so long.

Staying home, helping other people and having her family around was her number one priority. Sometimes she joined him on his business trips but mostly she worked for charity.

Ethan's phone rang again. After he finally checked who called, he rolled his eyes.

"Work?" Elle raised her eyebrows and rubbed her eyes with her knuckles. She just wanted to have dinner with him normally.

"One second," he apologizes after and answered the call, "Matthews," Ethan starts the conservation with his surname and waited for his assistant to talk.

"Mr.Matthews I just received a call by Patberger Inc. they arrived sooner than they thought and would like to meet for dinner."

Ethan sighs loudly and lightly slammed his forehead against the door. Elle held him back by placing her fingers between the door and him. She just shakes her head and brushed over his forehead the next second.

"How much time do I have?"

"I did a reservation in an hour."

"Can you send me the number of their CEO?" Ethan asks his assistant further and swings his arm around Elle's waist. He already imagined her in a dress with jewellery while eating dinner tonight.

"Sure, I'll message you immediately," she responds.

"We are going to dinner," Ethan informs her, causing her to pull her lip out since she was more the take-away girl who rather stayed home to eat while watching a movie, "Sorry."
