Elle's PoV

Usually, I'm not someone losing control over money. Lately, I question my life, myself and thought maybe buying a new car is going to make me feel better. So I couldn't wait for my appointment I have after meeting the investors Justin told me about.

We met already the day he told me about them and I convinced them to work with me. Today we have another meeting at Justin's company. Ethan tried to contact me the past two days and I'm glad we weren't in front of each other yet or else I'd lose my mind.

Shaking my head at myself, I keep answering my emails on my MacBook as I sit in Justin's office. He's doing his own work on his desk and I'm sitting on the other side in silence. To be honest, he's the one playing me but he's been more supportive to me these days and ever since his move when we had our lunch he didn't do anything else.

He's no one to trust anyway.

His phone started ringing, letting it ring for a while until it annoyed me, "at least turn it on silence."

"You're in my office, I remind," looking to his right to me, teasing a smirk, "I'm not someone doing anything in silence."

"Ha-ha-ha," I fake a laugh and saw my phone blowing off, vibrating on the desk. Taking it in my hands to see who's been texting me. Kace. My heart swells with love when I read that he wanted to come over tonight to watch a movie with his fiancé.

We quickly exchanged what to eat and decided on going out for dinner and then watch a movie at home.

"Did Ethan send you a dick pic or why are you smiling?"

I couldn't help but laugh at this stupid comment, "why are you instantly thinking about something like that?" It's actually weird when I think about the first time we had dinner with Joe and Ethan... and his date. Now I'm sitting in his office, cooperating with him and his business partners and we have this weird connection.

"So he did?"

"No!" I almost yell and cover my mouth after he made me laugh again because he lifted his eyebrows, showing me he didn't believe me, "it's my best friend."

"Sending you a dick pic?" He pulls his eyebrows together and I dig my nails in my skin in despair.

"Forget about that!" I slam my flat hand on his desk and burst in laughter because he didn't take me serious, "pervert."

"Always." He goes through his hair, closing his Mac and taking his ringing phone in his hand finally.

"Thank god it gave me a headache," I whisper more to myself, focus my eyes on my Mac and my ears on his conversation.

"I can't I'm busy." He simply says and I assumed he's talking to his family or something until, "don't let her in, tell the security to kick her out if necessary."

"Charming," I raise my eyebrow and try to focus on my mails for real this time because what he's talking about is none of my business.

Justin stands up, walking around his office as he rubbed his temper, "look if you- I don't want to kick her out myself."

Suddenly I hear someone screaming Justin's name in anger and that's when I didn't understand anything at all. I think he even forgot that I'm in his office because he ripped his door open as a woman with long light brown hair and light eyes stormed inside.

"How can you ignore me for so long!?" She screams and slapped his chest. My eyes pop out and I instantly stand up to leave them alone. Holy shit, who is she? His girlfriend? Why is he so flirty with me then?
