Just One Yesterday // I

Chapter Five

It's been a few month's since I've left Mystic Falls and joined Niklaus on his journey to find werewolves. While he and Stefan  were out following another lead, I was taking photos of scenic areas during our journey. Currently we were trekking up a mountain to find where the werewolves possibly are, and I wanted to come because of curiosity. 

"Come on love, you're falling behind." Nik says to me from far in front of me on the trail. 

"Well some of us aren't hybrids who don't get tired after hours of walking." I reply  with a huff.

Nik chuckles, then is suddenly in front of me, causing me to blink back my surprise, then i give him an annoyed look. "Come on love, don't give me that look, I was only joking." he tries to reason with me, but all I do is raise my eyebrow at him to give him a 'really' look. Nik then lets out a sigh, "Hop on my back." he tells me then turns around.

I hesitantly do so, and then we were back on our journey to the wolves with Stefan not talking to us and carrying the unconscience werewolf guy.

"Are you okay? Is Ray getting to heavy?" Nik asks Stefan as we continue on the trail.

"I'm fine." Stefan responses not even glancing over at us.

"Are you sure about that?  You know we've been walking for quite some time now. If you need some water, or a little sit down." Nik tauntingly asks him.

"You know, I get that we're, uh-we're stuck together, Klaus, but if we could maybe just skip the chitchat, I'd be great." Stefan responses looking over at Nik, glancing at me a few times.

"So much brooding. Your self loathing is suffocating you, my friend." Nik tells him, starting to walk a head of Stefan to take the lead.

"Maybe it's cause I'm a little tired of hunting werewolves. We've been at it all summer." Stefan explains with an annoyed sigh.

"Thanks to our pal Ray, we found ourselves a pack." Nik says as he stops. I look and see a group of people and what looks like a campsite.

Nik gently lets me down and we all start to walk into the camp, grabbing their attention.

Stefan starts to walk ahead of us more towards the center of the camp site, and drops Ray on the ground in front of them.

"Ray! Oh, my god." A girl with short brown hair says and runs over to his side. "Who are you?" she asks Stefan.

Nik starts to walk towards then, I follow suit. "The important question is, who am I. Please forgive the intrusion. My name is Klaus." he tells the wolves.

I see the fear in the girls eyes as she stands up. "You're the hybrid." she states.

"You've heard of me. Fantastic." Nik says, a smirk most likely on his face. He takes a seat on the log that was next to us. He has Stefan and I sit, I sit between the 2.

"Its fascinating actually, a werewolves who isn't beholden to the moon, a vampire who doesn't burn in the sun. A true hybrid." Nik rambles to the frighten people in front of us.

Suddenly Ray jolts up from the ground with a gasp, making me jump a bit in surprise. "Excellent timing Ray. Very dramatic." Nik comments , leaning forward on his knees.

"What happening to me?" Ray asks from his place on the ground.

"Stefan." Nik says, looking over to said man.

Stefan gives a small huff then stands from his place next to me. "Are any of you human? Your friend here needs human blood to complete his transition to a vampire. If he doesn't get it, he'll die." Stefan menacingly explains.
