Crawling through the vent seemed to take forever. All these twist and turns, at one point I had to climb up. There was a light at the end of the vent and that's where I was headed. When I got there, I kicked that vent out then crawled outside.
I was back outside surrounded by zombies eating cows.
I kept seeing Leola in my head. The lever sticking out her stomach, the blood coming out her mouth. She's most likely dead right now.
Leola is dead. Dead. And its all my fault. All she ever did was love and protect me, and I killed her. I murdered my sister. I killed Leola.
All these thoughts made me feel horrible. Like I'm a monster, and I am one!
I started crying so much that I couldn't even see through my glasses. The zombies snarled at my crying but didn't leave their cows.
They would probably attack me! In fear I ran through all the zombies. My glasses were foggy so I couldn't see where I was going. It didn't matter.
I hate myself so much that I don't care if I'm eaten right now. I just want to get away from the place where I murdered my own sister.
I dashed away from the building stepping on cows and zombies. They didn't try to hurt me and if they did, they wouldn't catch me. I was running so fast, it surprised me.
The building was far behind me now. I was now running past woods, zombies, and streets. None of the zombies could catch me.
I had no sense of direction since I couldn't see anything with all the tears blasting from my eyes then into my glasses. I just ran straight with no intention to stop.
The feel of ground changed underneath my feet. It was hard so I must be crossing another street. I couldn't hear any zombies around so I guess I'm still safe.
Something really hard and really big collided with my side as I ran. It was a car. My body flew up over the hood then rolled back down hitting the hard road.
My glasses had cracked. I was in too much pain to cry anymore, I couldn't even move. Something inside my stomach felt broken.
A tall man got out the car and came over to my limp body.
"Its a girl and she has all this crap on her arms". He announced to the other man in the car.
"Get away from it, its probably another one of those things". Replied the other guy.
"Wait no, it's only eczema, my co worker had this, it's completely harmless".
"I don't care, we need to get out of Jacksonville before Moore finds us".
The tall man squatted down to my level and took a closer look at me.
I wanted to run before his gaze got any deeper but my entire body felt broken.
"Hey Joey", the tall man called"maybe we don't have to leave Jacksonville?"
"What the hell are you talking about?" Joey asked.
"We hit the girl pretty hard". The tall guy said. "She's not going anywhere intill her body heals which will be a while". "So while we wait, how about we do some type of trade with Moore".
The Joey came out the car. He was tall and fat. "I still don't see what you're talking about". The Joey said leaning against the hood of the car.
The other guy rolled his eyes and looked at Joey.
"What I'm trying to say is...you know Moore is a geezer". "He's had those two girls for a long while, I bet he's super bored with them and would blow a gasget if he got another girl". "We offer him this girl, he forgives what we did and then we won't have to leave!"
