I pulled the sword out it's case. It was heavier than it looked but I managed to point it at the man.

"Put it down or I'll slit her throat". The man threatened.

He wasn't a man, he looked Kayla's age just really muscular. He had short curly red hair and grey eyes dressed in a big shirt and holey jeans.

There was nothing I could do so I dropped the sword.

"Kick it forward". He commanded. I kicked it forward.

The teenager kept the knife at Kayla's neck while he took away every bag that was wrapped around her. When every bag was wrapped around him, he finally backed away from Kayla.

"Now turn around and get out of here". He commanded.

Kayla turned towards him. She wasn't scared of him at all, just really mad.

"Come on man, we need them more than you do!" She pleaded walking after him. I followed them.

"Sorry doll face, that's the rules of being robbed". He replied walking into a dense forest. We kept following him.

"But we found them first!"

"Correction",He stated scratching his private "my partner found it and hid the guns in the boxes for me to find, you two just happen to get to it first".

"But-

He turned around with a firm look in his eyes. "You're not getting these guns back unless you have something better to offer".

Kayla still didn't stop. "We'll welcome you the group!" She offered.

The teen scoffed. "You two aren't much of a group, besides, I got my own".

"We can work out a trade with food".

"I got far more food than you will ever have?" "You're running out of time".

Kayla was beaten. She bit her lip as if she was thinking about something really hard.

"What if-

Kayla stopped herself and turned to me. "Ozzie, go back to the truck and sit with Ashley intill I come back".

By the way she said it, I knew she was really serious and there was no opposing her command.

I took one more look at them then walked back to the truck with my new sword in my hand.

I crawled in the trunk and sat across from Ashley hugging my knees. She was playing with a firefly that crawled in her hand.

"Hey Ozzie!" She greeted happily.

"Hey". I replied gloomly.

"Where's Kayla?"

"She's behind the store talking to some guy".

"Why do you have her sword?"

"She gave it to me".

Ashley paused for a while probably thinking up more questions.

"Is it true?" She asked. "Did you really kill your sister?"

I nodded.

"Was she a monster?"

When I killed her, I thought she was a monster. But she's not even close.

"No". I answered.

"Then why did you kill her?"

I felt alittle bit of anger surge around in my stomach. What happened to Leola is none of her business. She's being nosey.

"Mind your business". I snapped.
