After I wrote on the wall, I had passed out for most likely hours. When I woke up, I stayed in my spot.
I know it's weird and unsanitary to just lay in this blood puddle. I just didn't want to get up because I know as soon as I leave this bathroom, I'll have to deal with everything I just tried to escape from.
I wish I could just sleep through this. Then when I'm ready, I could wake up. Just procrastinate life. The only things cl Ise to that is coma or death. But I can't choose any of them. Sooner or later I have to get out of this bathroom and continue to live.
I could hear small footsteps passing the bathroom door. That had to be Peter. I listened closer. His footsteps were leading downstairs. Where was he going?
I groaned and forced myself to get up. My wrist was still sore and my clothes were damp with blood. I had to put my hand in the pocket of my hoodie to numb the pain.
I took a deep breath then opened the door. The smell of the dead zombies had gotten worse. The entire upstairs reeked. I need to clean that up soon.
I walked down the stairs and caught Peter turning the front doorknob. I noticed that Peter had on Ashley's old backpack.
"And where do you think you're going?" I said approaching him. Peter turned to face me. He still seems mad about what he thinks I did to Kayla.
"I'm running away Ozzie". Peter answered with a edge. "I'm going to find Ashy and we're going to run away together to the jungle book and live with Baloo". "That's far far far away from you!"
Peter angrily stomped on my foot (which didn't hurt) and opened the door. He bolted outside but stopped at the sight of the night. Peter was afraid of the dark.
He whimpered and ran back into the house. "I'll do it tomorrow!" He declared running past me.
I rolled my eyes and went to close the door. Before I closed the door, I could smelled something very weird. It smelled like a group of people, like a large group of people. I couldn't see them but I could also hear their wispering. They seemed to be far up the dirt rode.
"Its this way". Said a male voice.
"Are you sure?" Said another voice.
"Don't doubt me fool, they live here".
I heard more voices in the dark. They whispered and got closer and closer to the house. I also heard the clanking of guns. They have weapons and are probaly going to be used to hurt us. These must be the people we've been fighting. Ashley must've did something really bad to make their entire army come for the house.
I slammed the door and quickly turned around. They're coming, I have to defend the house.
"Peter", I called. He was sitting on the front desk.
"What?" Peter spat. I don't know how to handle him with that funky attitude he has. I sighed and pulled a chair up to Peter.
"I didn't hurt your mother". I said firmly. Peter stubbornly crossed his arms and looked away from me. "Your mom was my...friend...I'd never hurt her or you".
Peter glanced at me then turned away again.
"I was there when she drifted off to sleep", I continued. "She told me to tell you, that she loves you".
Peter finally looked at me. "Y-you're not lying are you?"
"I'd never lie about that". I said. "She loved you from the second you were born all the way to the day she fell asleep". "You can never forget that she always loved you".
