Narrator POV

The sun was high in the sky to signal the late afternoon, Audine and Crow had laid down to take a breather as the two hadn't stopped for anything since leaving Vanya Village and the two were now sharing the pastries that Audine had stolen earlier that day and were now regaining their strength before getting back on the road.

Finally, I thought that they would never stop walking, dang this dress getting caught on everything.

My feet were aching and they hurt so bad.

But I needed to be up to speed with the woman and her companion or now two women since the wolf can apparently take on a human like form and since this could also be my one chance to go on an adventure like the ones in my Story Books.

I clutched my belly as it grumbled, I should've brought some food with me.

Unfortunately, the grumbling of my belly made the two women in front of me look around before going back to eating their food, I decided to go to find some fruit to eat, but then I fell backward due to some branches getting caught on my dress and I fell right into the women's line of sight.

"Ummm... Hi?"

Crows POV

You got to be fucking kidding me.

We were both just minding our own business when a child, a Human Child at that literally fell into my life.

It was a girl; she wore a red fancy dress indicating that she may be rich, she wore her ginger hair in a ponytail and her hazel eyes seemed to be filled with curiosity and fear.

The Human Child got up and looked at Audine and I with a sheepish look and said Hi.

I couldn't lie, I felt frightened at the sight of the human child considering my experiences with them while Audine looked at the Child with curiosity and walked over to said human and asked her a question.

"What the heck are you doing here kid?"

The Human Girl looked at Audine with both childhood curiosity and joy.

"I'm here to go on an Adventure!"

I stared at this kid in disbelief I bet Audine was thinking the same way, this kid is going to get herself killed if she ever came along with us.

"Go home kid your just going to get in our way."

What I just said was harsh, yes, but what I prayed would be effective, unfortunately, the Human Girl made an angered expression.

"No, I won't go home I'm coming with you!"

I could see that this human wasn't going anywhere.

I huffed in frustration at the human's stubbornness, I felt so close to using my magic to make her leave, when Audine gave this Naive human a smile and gave the human her answer.

"Sure you can come along."

I saw the human's eyes go wide with excitement while I looked at Audine filled with both Disbelief and Anger.

"Audine....."

"Yeah, Crow?"

"I need to talk to you in private..... now"

Audine looked at me curiously and followed me where the human couldn't hear or see us.

"What did you need to talk about?"

I immediately slapped Audine as hard as I could after asking me such an idiotic question.

"WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?!"

Audine rubbed the cheek while looking at me still keeping her cool.

"Crow hear m-."

"No Audine this is single-handedly the stupidest idea that you ever came up with, a human of all things coming with us, a human of all things come along with us a Human Child at that a child that could easily die with our line of work so again, WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?!"

Audine looked a little scared at my outburst, but regained her composure and began to explain.

"Look Crow the kid could help us get some money by pretending to be an orphan or she could distract the merchants leaving us the steal what we need."

I began to think this over once Audine finished her explanation, the human could prove useful to us even if it wasn't in a big way.

Clever and beautiful, Audine's the total package, Crow no you're not into her and she's not into you.

"Alright the kid can come along but if she can't handle it or gets in our way were are leaving her at the first settlement that we come across got it?"

Audine then began to wag her tail and gave one her sweet smiles that make my heart g-DAMN IT CROW KEEP IT TOGETHER!!

"Got it, Crow"

"I'm serious about this the first chance I get if she's a nuisance we are ditching her."

The two of us walked back to see the kid eating some of our food when she noticed us, she gave a wide smile most likely due to the excitement of coming with us.

"Alright since Audine over here was very insistent on you coming along you may, but first things first what's your name?"

"My Names Alice!"

"Mines Crow and second of all you may have to steal if you plan on coming along with us."

The Huma-or Alice, in this case, looked a little confused can't blame her she's only a child, but whatever questions she may had she didn't voice aloud but instead held her tongue and nodded as if she understood.

"Good."

I then packed up the pastries, put them in my bag, swung it over my shoulders and began walking to the direction that would lead us to Vaizel in about a months time, Alice and Audine took this as a sign to follow me.

Audine I swear to the goddesses above if Alice is just a liability on this Journey, I will personally strangle you to death slowly.
