Species Confusion

Crows POV

Peaceful sleep, its hard to remember the last time I actually had a pleasant dream, I had woken up around the time that the sun of the new morning had begun to rise over the horizon. I felt my chest rapidly going up and down over and over, a thick sweat clung to my body as I tried to calm myself down from yet another nightmare about my old life and what had happened. I don't understand why these Nightmares are becoming more and more frequent, I thought I had put all of that behind me when I started my travels with Audine, but I couldn't help but remember all of those horrible memories right down from every little detail on what I had seen, no matter how hard I tried so desperately to forget.

Well since the suns beginning to rise I decided to wake the others up so we could continue our journey, I would wake up Audine first since I felt her tail touching my legs or so I thought. When I turned to my left side to wake up Audine I saw she wasn't there, confused I got to my feet and looked over at my right side to see Audine and Alice sleeping near each other and not too far from where we had bathed in those Time Consuming hot springs, but when I looked closer I saw that they were different, Alice's ears had become pointed like mine and to my displeasure had gained a pair red moth-like wings and Audines ears and tail had vanished.

I felt uneasiness begin to pool in my stomach along with twisting it into many knots, I pulled down my hood, and put my hand to the right side of my head where my right ears should've been was instead a small expanse of smooth skin, I felt myself beginning to panic so I put both of my hands on my head to tug at my hair to see if this was nothing but a confusing dream. WhenI touched my head I felt something twitch underneath my hands, I felt my panic get worse by the second so I ran towards the hot-springs and looked at my reflection in the water and stared at it in horror.

On my head were a pair of Black wolf ears, they then went down to signal what I was feeling. I tore myself away from my reflection to look behind me and sure enough was a wolf tail, I looked at my hands to see they were now Animal-like and the same went for my feet.

I then began to Scream.

Audine's POV

I had been dreaming about delicious prey when I had been woken up by Crow screaming bloody murder, I sat up and looked to where Crow was making all of the commotion to my shock now had Wolf Neko traits and was running around screaming like a madman. I turned to Alice who now had fairy traits, I looked to my hands to see that they were no longer Claw-Like and now looked like normal human hands.

I saw Alice was starting to wake up because of Crow's panicked screaming, after she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes she sat up and looked at me, she had a look of confusion on her face, she stared at Crow for a bit who was still running around and screaming.

"Audine what's going on and why is Crow running around screaming?"

I had no idea what the tell Alice that we all somehow switched species, but I had to tell her something so I told Alice to look behind her, she did what I asked and she let out a gasp of shock when she saw her new wings. I was surprised when she even managed to make them move, But she wasn't the one running around and screaming like a madman, speaking of which I got to my feet and ran over to Crow and began to shake her like a ragdoll.

"GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF DAMMIT!!"

I Stopped shaking her after I think three minutes, Crow seemed to have calmed down a bit but was shaking like no tomorrow, she was sweating, she had gone pale. Her eyes were unfocused and her breaths were short, fast and she was cold to the touch.

I guessed that she was in shock, I mean wouldn't anyone else act like her if this happened to them?

Knowing what could happen if I didn't do anything, I began to hug her and Began to whisper a lullaby my Mama used to sing to me, in order to calm me down. I may have known the lullaby, but I had no idea what I was singing as it was in a language I had no knowledge of but remembered clear as day because of the number of times my mother sang it to me. I stopped whispering the soft lullaby when I felt that Crow had stopped shaking and let go of her to look her in those Lovely Gray eyes of he-DAMMIT AUDINE FOCUS!!

"Are you alright?"

"Not really."

Crow then looked behind her back to look at her tail, back at me her eyes were full of confusion, impatience, and worry as she seemed to be racking her brain on how we switched species in the first place.

"How did this even happen to us?"

"I have no idea Crow, we weren't near anything that could've done this except......"

Something clicked in my mind as I thought about it, I looked over at the Hot Springs, Crow caught onto my sudden behavior and looked confused on why I was staring at the hot springs before realization set in and her eyes widened.

"You don't think the Hot Spring had anything to do with it right Crow?"

"Well it doesn't seem to far-fetched to be true, add that with the amount of time we were in the Hot Springs and along with the fact that we weren't anywhere else that would've factored in this change."

I stared at Crow confused, before she let out a sigh of annoyance.

"Long Story short Audine the hot springs did this to us."

"Oh thanks for clearing that up."

Crow then face-pawed herself in annoyance for some reason, I wonder why, anyways we better find a way if this will wear off or find another to turn back before this gets one of us killed, just as that thought ran through my head I heard Alice saying.

"Ummm guys?"

We turned to where Alice was only for Crow to let out a gasp of shock at seeing Alice flying 2 feet off of the ground, which I have no idea how she did that but I knew by the look of surprise and fright on Alice's face she probably couldn't control them, By The Orbs of Luna and Solaris let us not die a stupid death because of this change.
