Narrators POV
It had been two seasons since Audine saved Crow and since they both left the Forest and the Human Village behind.
The grass was a beautiful green; birds were chirping and Crow and Audine were both being chased by a mob of angry humans, each of the humans in the mob were each carrying a makeshift weapon.
Audine was ahead of Crow purely for the fact that she was faster in her wolf form and Crow was falling slightly behind her lungs working overtime trying to keep up with Audine and with a loaf of bread tucked under her arm.
Crow's POV
I kept running as fast as I could away from the angry townsfolk.
As Audine and I kept running the mob started gaining on us, so I used my magic to fashion a large vine up ahead, me and Audine jumped onto the vine, the next thing I knew me and Audine were flying in the air and we crashed into a tall tree, Audine shifted into her human form the last minute to hang onto one of the branches.
As the both of us were trying to catch our breaths I then began laughing hysterically, while Audine stared at me like I had gone nuts.
"Crow we were almost skinned alive, why the hell are you laughing?"
"Because its ridiculous that the whole village was ready to kill us both for stealing a single loaf of bread"
"Well, they are known for being greedy."
I broke the bread into two equal pieces, and I threw Audines piece to her and began to eat my half, but as we were eating the ground under us began to shake, we hung onto the branches for dear life until the shaking stopped, I looked over to Audine to make sure that she hadn't lost her grip and fallen off.
"You alright Audine?"
"Yeah, I am, That was some quake."
The ground began to rumble again and a strong gust of wind then blew our way, me and Audine looked where the wind had come from, to see tree's that had been cut down and it was coming straight at us.
We both braced ourselves for the impact, and the force of the wind blew both me and Audine off of the tree and plummeted to the ground, one thought entered my mind before the world went black.
"This is going to hurt a lot."
Audines POV
As I started to come to, I struggled to stand up; I felt my head exploding with pain, I felt blood flowing out slowly out of the back of my skull, but the actual wound itself wasn't that bad, I looked around to my shock that the once tightly packed forest of tall trees were all reduced to stumps as far as the eye can see.
I heard Crow groaning as she regains consciousness, I run over to her and began to look her over for any serious wounds, I found none other than a single gash that started from the left side of her torso and went up all the way to her left check barley reaching her eye, I was relieved when I saw that the wounds didn't go deep.
Crow winced as she tried to sit up all the way, I let her hold onto me for support as she slowly stood up as I was taking in all the destruction, she looked absolutely furious and started to scream in pure fury.
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, WHY CAN'T I EVER GET A FUCKING BREAK?!"
I watched her scream out her rage as well as screaming multiple profanities to the sky, she also said some things that I didn't understand.
After a good long while, she finally calmed down, catching her breath as she hadn't stopped for a single breath since she had been so angry at our lack of luck to stop for air.
"Are you alright Crow?"
"Yeah, despite the burning feeling on the left side of my body and cheek, I feel Fan-fucking-tastic."
