Narrator POV
Audine and Crow had embraced each other for a long amount of time until Crow let go of Audine and in turn, Audine let go of Crow. Crows Gray eyes showed intense fear and recollection while Audine's ember ones showed worry.
Crows POV
My tears had long been spent, but I didn't want to let go of Audine, I didn't want to look at the dead humans anymore.
I finally felt myself calm down and finally let go of Audine and she did the same, I looked into her amber eyes they showed both concern and worry, she then began to look me over for any possible wounds.
"Are you okay Crow?"
"Yes"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I am very sure Audine but what are we going to do now?"
Audine then went into a moment of thought and concentration her eyes then locked with mine, Audine definitely is something.
When she was happy her amber eyes filled with joy her eyes looked more wonderful and somehow mysteriously at the same time and she definitely has impressive curves as we-Crow snap out of it now is definitely not the time to be checking out Audine's body even if it is quite beau-STOP!
"I'm going to be right back Crow."
My eyes then widened with shock and fear, I didn't want her to leave, I immediately grabbed Audine, I could feel tears beginning to prick my eyes once more, fear surging through me once more and I began to yell.
"AUDINE FOR THE LOVE OF THE GODDESSES PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE AGAIN!!"
Audine's POV
I could feel my heart shattering when I looked at Crow, I could almost actually smell her fear just by looking at her expression, her eyes red and puffy, she was no longer crying, but I could still see the fear and terror in her eyes.
I told her that I wouldn't be very long, but Crow looked unconvinced and hung onto me for dear life, I then shifted to my wolf form and wiggled out of Crows grasp and ran out of the cave as quickly as I came up with an idea forming in my head as I approached the village.
Crows POV
"Audine actually left me and now she won't ever come back."
These thoughts were racing in my head as I hugged myself, crying softly, and staring at a gray wall for what felt like hours not wanting to look at what I've done.
"Crow?"
I was immediately taken out of my thoughts by Audine calling my name, and I turned around to see her holding a bunch of fabric in her jaws, her tail was wagging, and her eyes filled with a look of accomplishment.
She walked up to me and dropped the pile of fabric from her mouth next to me and upon inspection, the pile of fabrics was clothes, A large brown hooded poncho with long sleeves, a black long sleeved shirt that was just my size with a tear on the left side it was perfect size for my left wing, a pair of ugly brown pants both articles of clothing had different colored patches on different parts of the clothes and a pair of dirty shoes. I was a little confused on why Audine brought me the clothes but more importantly, how did she get them?
"Audine where did you get these?"
"I got them from the nearby human village; I figured you would need a change of clothes."
"Thanks, Audine"
"No problem Crow, I'll give you some privacy"
She then left the cave as I began to change with the new clothes provided to me. Once I finished putting on my new clothes I was a little surprised by how the hooded poncho was so big, even the sleeves were longer than my own arms, I'll have to adjust it later. I was very pleased that the poncho was big enough to completely cover my left wing, I then pulled up my hood covering my ears and limped outside seeing that Audine was nowhere to be seen.
Remembering that Audine had been hunting before the humans came into the cave looking to capture us, I sighed and limped back inside refusing to look at the dead humans. I laid down, holding onto my right wing like it was the most important thing in the world and stared at the gray wall and decided to wait till she came back, which actually didn't take as long as I thought it would.
She was in her human like form carrying a sheep carcass with ease, by the goddesses are her muscles were well toned and her upper torso is definitely quite se-CROW NO!!!
As Audine brought the sheep carcass inside, I also noticed that she also had an very large brown bag with multiple patches on it, the bag itself looked like it could fit my whole wi-Oh.
I then realized what the bag might be for I took the bag from Audine who gave me a smile and a nod of approval signaling me that it was okay to take the bag, I smiled back and took the bag and walked over to my pile of fabrics where my right wing was and began to put it inside the bag very carefully.
Audine's POV
I watched the fire lick at the meat of the sheep as it cooked. I then turned my head to look at Crow trying to put her wing into the bag I got her without damaging the wing, I couldn't help but look over Crow's new appearance. It suited her much better than the stained white dress I found her in, the poncho hid her left wing perfectly and with the hood up she looked just like any regular old human, and by Luna her stormy eyes looked much more lighter and beautiful than when I looked at them for the first time, I wouldn't mind if she marked m-AUDINE NO SHE DOESN'T LIKE YOU THAT WAY!!!
I then smelled the faint smell of something burning. I looked over to see the sheep was beginning to burn.
I panicked and threw the sheep away from the fire and put it out with the dirt in the cave. I could hear soft laughter, I looked over to see it was coming from Crow, I have to admit I'm a little shocked having never heard Crow laughing before. Oh Luna it made her seem even more beautifu-SNAP OUT OF IT YOU JUST MET HER A WEEK AGO NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO BE DAYDREAMING!!
Crows POV
I couldn't help but laugh at how Audine didn't notice that the sheep had been burning, I laughed as loud as my vocal chords could allow since I haven't talked to anything in years.
After I was done laughing, I saw Audine looking at me, she looked a little shocked I don't blame her I barley talk to her anyway, her eyes looked unfocused I wonder what she's thinking about.
Audine's POV
As I finished cutting the chunks of meat into even slices to last us exactly one week, I grabbed two slices and walked over to Crow and gave her a slice.
Me and Crow were eating our chunks of meat when I decided to tell her the plan, I gulped down the food in my mouth and looked Crow, she noticed that I was looking at her and not eating, she set down her chunk and focused on me.
"Do you want to tell me something?"
I replied with a subtle nod.
"What do you want to tell me?"
"I have a plan Crow."
Crow looked a little surprised and a little confused, I continued to talk, taking her confusion as a sign to keep talking.
"Well, I thought that since other than your wing and ears you kinda look like a human, so if you covered those up then you could pass as a human yourself and that way the humans will mistake you as one of their own and if I don't talk in my wolf form they will mistake me for your pet, its foolproof. Crow looked shocked on how detailed the plan was. By Luna she can be so adora-DAMMIT AUDINE!!
Crows POV
I didn't know what to feel after Audine had told me her plan, shocked or confused.
I began to feel joy at the thought of finally leaving this god forsaken forest, I started to smile at the thought of possibly seeing the other lands that I only ever heard about in bo-I immediately shoved those thoughts away knowing full well what memories will pop up, I was done with crying this is a new chapter in my life I am not going to cry or be scared anymore.
I looked at Audine; she seemed to be expecting an answer from me and in turn I silently complied.
"Alright I agree to this plan Audine"
Audine then gave me a wide smile, happy that I had agreed to her plan.
Narrator POV
It has been a week since Crow agreed with Audine's plan, and with her ankle now fully healed, they approached the outskirts of the forest and into the human village.
Crow stopped in her tracks, her eyes fearful but looked over at Audine in her wolf form, she seemed so happy about finally leaving the forest.
Crow calmed down and for the first time since the goddesses only knows how many years she had been in that forest, she took a deep breath and walked out of the forests border following Audine as the human village came into view.
