Harry had already forgotten about this rumoured new girl until they actually met her.
He did not even know why it was such a big deal and everyone knew about it. Just a few month ago they got a whole bunch of new girls in the school.
It was rumoured that this girl was some daughter of a famous actor or something though, but nobody knew whose. They were not even supposed to rumour about it. Harry knew his father kept information like that a secret so they would not get treated any differently.
It was a Monday morning. All five boys had gone through their differently long morning routines and walked out of their room and then out of the boys dormitory house, still quiet and tired. Harry, who was particularly cuddly in the mornings, had his arm wrapped around his best friend, who did not seem to mind.
"Excuse me?"
All five boys turned to the source of the voice in sync. There stood a girl. Niall had never seen her before so he guessed it was the new one everyone was talking about, but, wow. Niall had not pictured her like this. Icy blonde hair, green eyes complemented with glasses and a light pink dress that was hugging her upper body nicely. Beautiful.
"Hey, sorry. I'm new here and this schedule says I need to go to maths class with Mr Claude. You know where I have to go?"
None of the boys answered.
"Why are they so quiet?" Harry whispered to Louis, who just grinned, watching Liam, Niall and Zayn tug on their clothes and ruffle their hair nervously. "Ooh." Harry said in realization and started to giggle.
This made the other boys and the new girl turn their faces to Louis and Harry, who still had an arm wrapped around each other in a warm morning embrace. The latter tried to stifle his giggle in Louis' shoulder, and Louis could not help but join his laughter.
The other four just seemed confused. "Umm..." The girl said. "Well, do you know where the maths class is or should I ask someone else?"
"No, no..." Niall said.
"We know..." Zayn said.
"We-, umm, yeah. We know where it is." Liam stuttered.
The girl looked at them inquiringly, but as the boys did not continue, she turned to Louis and Harry, who burst out in laughter again. "Go on boys." Louis laughed, "Tell her where the maths class is."
"Umm... It's- It's there in this... umm..."
"What, Zayn? Cat caught your tongue?" Louis grinned teasingly.
"Or more like girl caught your tongue." Harry mumbled, making them giggle again.
"Shut up." Zayn hissed.
"Well... the- the room..." But Niall could not complete the sentence as the girls eyes that turned to him were distracting.
Louis let out a puff of air and took pity in the boys and this new girl. "Mr Claude's class room is in this building," He pointed at a blue painted building to the left. "Second floor. Room 203."
"Better wait until he says you can enter before opening the door." Harry advised. "He can be a bit grumpy with that."
The new girl smiled at them. "Thank you." She said and went to the instructed class room.
"Holy shit." Zayn said. "She's fucking cute."
"Yeah, and she is not a game." Niall sneered. Zayn looked at him, a bit confused but also a bit guilty. "Yeah, Louis told us about the bet and we're gonna warn her so she doesn't fall for your stupid games."
"Well, first you have to learn to talk to her." Louis sent Harry and himself into another laughing fit.
"How come you're not affected?" Niall wondered. "This girl is fucking beautiful."
"Well, I have a girlfriend." Louis said. Niall almost laughed at how Louis and Harry scrunched up their noses in sync.
"And Harry?" Zayn asked.
Niall could not repress a small laugh that he covered with a cough as Harry glanced at Louis conspicuously inconspicuous, then shrugged.
"But I mean," Niall said, "This girl was breathtaking. And not the bitchy, flashy type. More cute."
"Maybe if this was a Harry Potter universe," Liam said, "She would be a Veela."
"Maybe Veelas exist." Zayn mused.
"After meeting her I have no doubt." Niall said.
"Maybe we should continue walking." Louis said. "We'll be late."
They started making their ways to the class rooms. Zayn and Liam had to leave first.
"I don't get what you're talking about." Harry said to the two remaining boys. "I mean, that girl was pretty and stuff, but so are many others. Like, she's not that pretty that you can not talk anymore."
"Hmm..." Louis agreed. "My sister is much prettier that that."
"Well, would you allow us to date your sister?" Niall grinned teasingly.
"Hell no!" Louis glared. "Keep your dirty hand off of her."
"Besides," Niall ignored Louis' comment, taking a few steps away from them because his class room was now left while the others had to continue straight on. "You only find people attractive with a dick."
Harry blushed, avoiding Louis' eyes and glared at the laughing Niall. Louis was also quite red and protested, "That's not true!"
"You're right." Niall agreed easily. "The only people you find attractive is each other." He grinned before completely walking away.
Louis and Harry walked in awkward silence until they reached their class room. Before they could go inside though, Louis held his best friend back by his arm. "Harry." Their eyes dared to meet again and then small smiles spread on their lips.
"We're okay?" Harry asked shyly.
"Of course." Louis said. "We shouldn't take that leprechaun too seriously."
They entered the classroom and, like always in the past few weeks, Louis passed his seat beside Harry and sat down next to Aidan dutifully.
