"Stop it, Harry." Louis snapped, yanking his arm away. "I can do whatever I want."
"But Lou-"
"Shut up!" Louis glared, taking his jacket and stomping to the door. "You don't have control over my life. And just because your dad is the head teacher doesn't mean you always have to be so awfully goody two shoes. It's annoying. And stop clinging to me!"
With that he was out of the room, leaving Harry there to blink away these tears.
'You're so annoyingly clingy? Do you realize that, Harry? You're always clinging to me! You're such a baby.'
Louis had already told him what he thought of him. He did not know why he was still clinging to Louis, clinging to the hope that it would go back to how it was before, and that maybe Louis would return his feelings.
It was just that he often acted like the best friend Harry had before this whole gay-speculation-Eleanor-thing happened, and then he suddenly changes, crushing Harry's heart and his hopes. It hurt every time. Louis used to do everything so nothing could hurt Harry. When he was upset, Louis was the one doing everything to cheer him up.
But now Louis was the one constantly playing with his feelings. The older boy may not realize the depth of Harry's feelings, but he must still know that he hurt Harry every time his moods made an 180 degree turn.
Harry just wanted to protect Louis. Going out with his 'gang' ten minutes before they all should be in bed was a bad idea. Especially when Harry knew that these people were up to no good.
Niall and Liam were currently in the bathroom, getting ready for bed, and Zayn was already out, waiting for Louis. So Harry was the only one who could try to deter Louis from his plans. He had obviously not succeeded.
Later, when they all lie in bed and Mr Marius had looked into the room half-heartedly to ensure everyone was in bed and not noticing the absence of the two other boys, Harry still had to think about Louis.
What was he doing? Was he okay? Was he smoking or taking drugs with his awful friends? Were they forcing him? Was he maybe doing things with Eleanor? Was he also thinking about Harry?
No, surely not. Harry was the clingy one. Louis did not care.
But Harry cared. Harry will always care.
That's why, after almost two hours of fruitless attempts to fall asleep, he got up, pulled on a jacket and shoes, and left the room.
The hallways were deserted, as expected. Harry felt like no matter how quietly he tried to walk, his steps echoed in the darkness of the building. His heart beat fast as he crept to the boys dormitory's door. Hearing a creak, he froze. He waited for a few seconds, holding his breath, then he dared to continue.
Reaching outside and closing the door quietly, he let out a sigh of relief. He looked around the illuminated school yard and listened closely, trying to figure out where Louis' gang could be.
When he heard and saw nothing, Harry started to walk around, carefully looking behind the buildings and in the secluded corners, but he could find no one. Maybe they were gathered in someone's dorm, Harry considered, before he perceived some whispers and hissing noises.
Turning to the direction of the source, he concluded that it did not come from the actual school grounds but from the sushi bar next to it.
Quick, but carefully, he strode across the school yard and reached the restaurant. Quietly, he crept forwards and peeked around the corner. What he saw made him gasp loudly and quickly, he pulled his head back.
