'Hey babe. Let's go on a date this evening. Sushi?'

Louis looked up from his phone to see Harry laying next to him on the bed, working on his maths homework. He was glad Eleanor asked about a date via What's app and not personally, especially while Harry was with him.

He looked down on the text again and grimaced. Babe. How weird that sounded. And Sushi. He did not even like Sushi much, but it was the only food you could get on the campus if you did not want to eat in the crowded cafeteria. So Louis guessed the Sushi place was the best place to have a date.

'Sure. What time?' He wrote back.

'7:30?'

'Okay'

So Louis had a date today. He always imagined to be nervous for his first date, or any date. But for some reason, he was not. He felt nothing. No happiness, no excitement, but also no sadness or disappointment. He felt nothing but worry that Harry would find out.

He laid on his stomach next to his Hazza and joined him doing homework. Well, Harry had to explain everything to him, but at least it distracted him.

Once the evening came around the boys except for Zayn, who was rejected from the group ever since everyone knew about his passiveness while Louis was beaten up, got up from their beds and chairs where they had been working to go to the cafeteria.

"Coming?" Harry asked when he noticed that Louis stayed put.

"I'm not hungry."

Harry looked at him in disbelief. Louis was awful at lying to his best friend. "You are. Why are you not coming?"

"Umm...no, I'm really not hungry."

"Are you sick?" Harry came back worriedly, laying his hand on Louis' forehead to feel his temperature.

Louis pushed him away. "No, I'm not. I have to do something. You can go. I'll come after."

"After what?" Harry frowned. "I'll wait."

"No!" Louis almost yelled. "I mean... no, it's okay. I want to do this by myself."

"What do you want to do?"

Louis really loved his best friend, but right now Harry was annoying him and he made no effort to hide it. "None of your business."

Harry frowned. "What are you hiding?"

"Nothing, Harry. Stop being so annoying." Louis almost wanted to take the words back when he saw the hurt look on his face. This has never happened before. They never fought. They never got sick of each other.

"Lou..." Harry tried.

"Just go!" Louis exclaimed. Harry swallowed hard, blinking what looked like tears out of his eyes, but let Niall pull him away.

Louis sighed, half in relief, half in regret. He did not know what else to do. He should have really told Harry about his date, but something was holding him back. If someone would ask him what exactly, he could even give them a proper answer. He felt irritated and confused.

Louis looked at his phone. 7:20.

He got up and made his way to Eleanor's dorm room. He was about to knock when it dawned on him that people dressed up for dates. He looked down on himself. He was wearing his typical striped shirt and red jeans. He had even forgotten his suspenders.

Before he could decide if he should go back to change and show up too late, the door opened.

"Oh." Jesy giggled. "Eleanor. Here is someone for you."

He heard a few more giggles and whispers from the room before Eleanor appeared in the door. She had put some lip gloss and mascara on, Louis noted. And she really did dress up. She was wearing a red dress with a white flower pattern all over it, coupled with red ballerinas. Now Louis was a bit nervous. Nervous that she would get angry that he had done nothing special, but she just smiled. "Shall we?"

Louis nodded and took her hand. He ignored his heart that was telling him how wrong, too small and too soft this hand felt.

Louis did not notice how Eleanor's eyes dimmed every time he mentioned Harry until she pointed it out. Of course, she did not say 'My eyes dim every time you mention Harry.' No, what she said was, "You know, I think it's not normal how much you talk about Harry."

Louis frowned at her in confusion. "Well, Harry has been my best friend for ages. Of course I have to talk about him."

"Yeah, maybe..." But Louis could hear some kind of... disappointment in her voice although he could not fully comprehend it.

So from then on, he tried to talk about Harry less, but it was so hard when everything reminded him of his best friend. They did everything together so it was hard to tell anything not involving his Hazza.

"By the way." Eleanor interrupted the silence. "I like the outfit without suspenders. Somehow makes you look manlier."

Louis looked down on himself and frowned. Did he not look manly before?

"I also think you would look great in black. You know, with a tank top or something. You have great arms."

Louis looked at her in slight confusion, but Eleanor did not make any explanations. Although Louis could see a faint blush spreading on her cheeks.

Louis thought about it. He guessed he would in fact look cooler in black. But did he want to look cool? Harry had always told him that he loved his colourful trousers and suspenders. He had even copied the colourful trousers style.

Oh well, now was not the time to dwell on his fashion choices. Eleanor was talking. He had to catch on before she noticed that he was not listening.

After the date, Louis dropped her off at the dorm room, but not without their second kiss. Eleanor giggled after and disappeared in her room. Louis frowned when he heard squealing of more than one person behind the door. Girls are so weird, he thought.

When he was back in his room, Louis wondered why it felt like he had a double life while cuddling closer to his Hazza.
