18. Care

"Niall, where is Barbara?" The angry female voice made Niall, Louis, Harry, Liam, Eleanor and Perrie turn around.

"Oh shit." Niall said and started to run back to the class where he just came from.

Louis started to laugh. "You called your baby Barbara?"

Ellie glared at him. "It was the only thing we could agree on. I don't get why we were put together." She complained. "He has awful name choices and he is irresponsible."

The next part of the partner project was 'Care', which, as it turned out, meant that all the partners got a baby doll that they had to take care of for a week. This baby had some kind of system which registered how well you took care of it and how the teamwork was.

"He's not that bad." Liam defended Niall.

"He just forgot our baby in the classroom." Ellie deadpanned. "And where is your baby?"

"With Sophia." Liam said. "She's a great mother to Sophia Junior."

"Sophia Junior." Eleanor repeated. "Very creative."

"Shut up." Niall said. "It's cute." Niall had been there when Liam and Sophia had named their child. Liam had insisted on calling it Sophia Junior since it would grow up being 'as beautiful as her mother'. Sophia had blushed like crazy and gave in, kissing Liam's cheek, who joined the blushing party.

"You wanna come with us to lunch?" Perrie invited Ellie.

She shrugged. "Sure, why not." They started walking. "So how's your baby called?"

"Jade." Perrie grinned. "We named her after her godmother."

"Am I the only one with a boy?" Eleanor wondered, rocking her child. In that moment Louis and Harry's baby started to cry in Harry's arms, causing Eleanor's to follow.

"Shh, Darcy." Harry cooed. "Everything will be fine."

"Boah, could your baby please stop?" Eleanor snapped, annoyed that the now had to also calm down her baby.

"Hey, don't snap at him." Louis defended. "It's not Harry's fault that our baby is crying. Darcy, sweety. Don't be difficult for papa. Are you hungry? Come on, I'll feed you."

Louis looked into Harry's eyes for permission, before taking Darcy from Harry, who was smiling fondly. "Aww, you two are so cute." Ellie smiled, watching Louis take out the bottle filled with water since this was just an artificial baby. Louis and Harry smiled at her.

"You know," Eleanor said as they arrived in the cafeteria filled with students and babies although the food distribution was not open yet. "You are my boyfriend, Lou. It would have been better if we got to practice for a baby together."

"Louis doesn't need practice." Harry snapped a bit unfriendly. "He's already perfect."

"Was I talking to you?" Eleanor asked. They found Jesy, Jade and Leigh-Anne, who were reserving a table for them, the latter two with babies.

"Guys, please don't fight now." Liam sighed as he sat down next to Jesy.

"We're not fighting." Eleanor and Harry said at the same time, then glared at each other.

Louis guessed he could not blame Eleanor for being sour. Him and Harry had gotten closer again since they had made up and the rumours that they were a gay couple flared up again, although the bullying was not as bad this time.

Louis suspected that it had something to do with the big presentation that him, Harry, Niall and Ellie had held about homosexuality. And maybe the speech from Harry's father, stating that discrimination in any form was not accepted in this school and and anyone who was acting against that would be not welcome in the school anymore.
